The college has made steady progress over the years and today it even boasts of a placement cell which is so helpful to the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is as per the curriculum devised by UGC. It was not exactly research-oriented but the course was regularly updated. The teachers were very motivated and they took special care of students who took time to grasp certain topics. This is what made this college so different from others.
Placement Experience
I did not avail of any internships and, during our time, there were no placement cells in the college.
College Events
The college had a multi-cultural face and celebrated each and every religious, social and non-religious festival with much fervour. There was never any compulsion on part of the college authorities to attend the different programs organized by the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees in this college is bare minimum when you compare the fees of other well-established educational institutions in the city. Contrary to popular belief, one need not pay any additional fees to secure admission to this college. The admission process if fair and transparent.
Fees and Financial Aid
I never opted for any educational loan to study in this college and I was never offered a scholarship to study here.
Campus Life
The gender ratio in the college was never a cause of concern even among the critics. Students of various race, ethnicity, religion and economic status used to study here. There were never any division between the students on socio-economic matters and this is the reason I feel proud to be a part of this college.
Hostel Facilities
I never opted for the hostel facilities as I was a resident of the city and never needed the hostel facilities. However, as far as I know, the college had decent hostel facilities for boys and girls.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students were always helpful at all times. They did pull our leg sometimes but everything was done in jest.
Admission
I got admission through an interview with the Head of the Department of the Political Science Department and the principal. I chose this college due to its impeccable academic record, great teachers and excellent learning environment. The admission procedure was extensive but simple.
Faculty
The faculty is at par with some of the best colleges of the city. In fact, many students reckoned that the political science department was the best in the college and it could easily rank alongside the political science departments of other prominent colleges.
