One of the Prestigious Colleges in Karnataka with 100% Placements. The available Hostel and Coaching facilities are also worth joining the college. Our college is famously known for its Mechanical Engineering branch which is one of the oldest in the country, the male to female students ratio is also above average compared to most of the other colleges thus being comfortable and secure for female students. They also have very well facilitated sports complex with gym and other facilities required.

The Course is as per the VTU guidelines but the important part is the exposure you get due to various academic activities being conducted from each clubs. There is a very good chance to avail internships at some of the industry leading companies.

The placement facilities are very good with average minimum 90% placement rate. One of the notable alumni is the founder of Infosys Mr Narayanmurty. Companies like Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, HCL, TCS, Microsoft, etc visit every year.

There are all types of festivals conducted here at NIE, the annual fest named TechNIEks is conducted every year with a special cause every year. This year in 2020 it was about autism, marathons are held to raise funds to help in charity in which people participate in huge numbers, during the fest every year the trending national and international artists are invited to perform. Technical events keep happening throughout the year in which all the students can participate, entrepreneurial exposure and ideas are also given importance and respective clubs hold respective events regularly.

There are sports facilities like indoor sports complex, gym, basketball court, badminton court and outdoor ground for sports such as cricket, baseball, football, etc. The campus is wi-fi enabled which is always a good thing, the library is also 10000 plus books size with a separate lending section. All the laboratories are well equipped with the latest equipment.

The hostel is not so large housing around 500 students. The rooms are very good with 3 sharing only, there are 24hrs wi-fi and hot water facility. There are washing machines to wash cloths and the food is good quality South Indian Brahmins food throughout the week which I never found boring or bad, there will also be a monthly specials dinner every month. The men's hostel also has a garden and a gym.
