Remarks
Being a central university was a major deciding factor for me. Moreover, the science departments were among the top 5 in the national ranking for central universities. And since I've of my cousins was already there, he also said that the campus is a nice one.
Course Curriculum Overview
Even though the curriculum covered the majority of topics, some fields were omitted, like astrophysics and computational physics. Moody of the facilities are well qualified and most of them are friendly and open. They are approachable too
Placement Experience
Even though placement cell is present, it's functioning is rudimentary (in science sections). In the School of Management, I guess about 60% of people get placed with packages of about rupees 35,000 per month. ITC, Zomato are some of the few companies that I know by name.
College Events
Even though there is only one cultural even conducted directly by the University, which is the hostel day, there are many cultural and extracurricular events held annually by different ethnic groups and departments.
Campus Life
We have wifi throughout the campus, 2 football field, 2 tennis court, 2 basketball courts, 2 volleyball courts, 2 cricket stadiums, 1kho-kho court and provision for hockey, table tennis and many other sports. A very big, well maintained central library is one of the prides of our campus, and as far as science departments are concerned, we have well equipped labs for each semester.
Hostel Facilities
A room for 2 was shared by 3, which was adjustable. We had wifi access, 24*7 electricity and water and well maintained bathrooms and toilets. If any electrical or other failure was there, we just had to report it through the online portal and it will be replaced within 2-3 days.
