Remarks

All the good is covered in my comments above apart from that I want to mention that the college has very good transport facility.

Entrance Preview

Common Entrance Test, Karnataka my ranking was 5365 i was interested in designing and making circuits. The two courses that offered this were (i) Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ii) Electronics and Communication Engineering. The former offers courses with respect to both electrical and electronic circuits. The latter offers those with respect to electronic circuits and concepts of communication. I wasn't too keen on communication, so I chose the former.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is spread over 8 semesters. The first two are basic subjects that cover basic engineering concepts of Physics, Chemistry and all branches of engineering. The next 6 semesters and dedicated to Electrical and Electronics alone. Engineering Mathematics is taught as a subject in the first four semesters. Every semesters has two labs that teach practical implementation of concepts covered in theory subjects in the current and previous semesters.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship with power research development consultants this was more like an assistance ship that required us to put in 8 hrs of work every month, starting from 4th semester to 8th semester they paid us a stipend of Rs 1000/- for 8 hrs per month the work involved small projects that revolved around programming and implementation.

Placement Experience

5

The college guarantees 100% placement everybody in my batch was placed i was not too keen on getting a job as I wanted to go for higher studies. Nevertheless I applied for those companies that did not need much preparation. I was places in 3 companies. (i) Mindtree, (ii) Tata Consultancy Services, (iii) Cognizant Technological Solutions. Mindtree offered a package of 3.5 LPA, where as the other two offered 3.25 LPA.

College Events

4.5

The college celebrates a cultural fest known as kalanjali huge sponsors, amazing events and lot of competitions it also celebrates a tech fest called Technotsav large number of participants and is a very good platform for sharing innovative ideas.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is fixed as per government regulations for seats obtained through Common Entrance Test counselling seats obtained in the management quota are about 5 times as expensive as the govt seat over a donation amount that needs to be paid.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any loan facility but loan is offered by leading banks once a student qualifies for a govt. seat through counselling.

Campus Life

4.5

I was a part of the institute throwball team and also participated in robotics club events i also was a part of the editorial team of the department magazine named tejas from my experience, I can say that there are lot of opportunites in extra curricular activities, sports etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

I was a day scholar throughout the course however, my hosteler friends' experience was quite good the men's and ladies' is located within the campus and the mess food is said to be nutritious and tasty.

Alumni/Alumna

Each department in the college maintains records of the alumni and conducts alumni meets regularly where students get to interact with other students and discuss future prospects.

Exam Structure

Every semester has 3 internal exams that are valuated within the college an 1 final exam that is conducted at university level. The schedule is quite chilled out and one finds a lot of leisure time.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is good and knowledgeable. A few of them were pursuing their Masters and Ph.D from other universities. Hence, were very much in touch with the subjects they taught.
