The Kerala University syllabus for three year BA English Literature course is the study curriculum. The books are also prescribed by the University and taught from that text books. There are supplementary books that are listed for additional reading but not a must for exams. The prescribed books does polish your skills.

There is no placement process or internships available in the colleges at that time. The student has to prepare himself for the job he is looking for.

College Day, Arts Club day, College Union day, Science fair are the events. Sports day and inter college sports meet are the most popular events in the college. The Mar Ivanios Basketball Trophy is the best and toughly contested by other colleges to win it.

The fee structure is feasible and affordable by all sections of students as it is subsidized by Kerala Government. The text books too come with a subsidy and also the library also has the books to help the students to help in their course correctionR

Generally a peaceful campus life with boys and girls mingling freely. Girls outnumbered boys and all typed of religion students were in the campus but no communal differences. Only Keralites were in the campus. Right wing politics dominated though Left wing too was strong.

No. The rooms are sharing basis and canteen is good. The hostel has no attached bath and only common toilets. warden ensures that there is clean linen and bed spread as well the common areas are kept clean.

Seniors are helpful when it comes to extra curricular activities. Mostly in sports and arts events they are very helpful and back up juniors to keep the department prestige high.

Submission of school final year mark list and then a list of applicants with required pass percentage in the ranking list. Followed by interview and then admit card. Year of admission 1971 May for three year BA course. Preference of courses is offered to candidate and selection done by that.

Very dedicated and passionate about the subjects they teach. Move freely with students and encourage them to go beyond the text books and implement the plays in the books as stage plays and drama to make one remember it vividly and also get involved in it.
