The college is managed by Gujarati trust and the management is financially well organised.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was based on Calcutta University requisites. Campus placements were not organised by then. The exams were based on Calcutta University syllabus and the pattern of examinations conform to the syllabus followed by the Calcutta University and other professional courses.
Placement Experience
Placements were not organised then. The students prepared for professional exams for job placements.
College Events
The cultural fest was held annually and students of special talents earmarked the fest. Intercollege indoor sports competition to were organized by college committees. Management took interest in focusing on skills in technical fields as well and organising programmes.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was affordable to most students. The fees along with session fees were payable at quarterly intervals. Special term fees were required to be paid for some specific cause. The educational trust made lot contributions for the development of college
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship scheme was not available then for graduate courses in the college. The meritorious students applied for a scholarship for professional courses post-graduation
Campus Life
The morning/day batch was co-ed with boys and girls ratio at 60:40. The evening and batch were exclusively for boys. The students were those mostly from English medium schools of ISC/CBSE background. The management also favoured Gujarat students and the Education trust played an important role
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility it was not available then. The outstation students had to avail private accommodation for educational purpose. Most students were from localities in Kolkata regions. There were abundant transport facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni improved the overall rating of the college and built the foundation stone of the institution
Admission
Renowned Institution for Commerce. ADMISSION ON BASIS OF MARKS & SEAT AVAILABILITY. The morning and day batch followed the merit list but the decision of admission to the college was finally in hands of the management committee. The admission was on a fair basis.
Faculty
Lectures were imparted regularly on basis of subjects endorsed for the course. The professors were experienced & knowledgeable in their field. Semester exams were conducted regularly and special notes of lectures were provided. The lecturers were helpful to students.
