College management was good and was trying their level best to improvise.

All the courses are designed by VTU (Visveswaraiah Technological university ) and approved by AICTE (All India Council) for Technical Education ). But VTU still follows many outdated Subjects and topics. It has to upgrade the course. The curriculum must be improvised. But still, the course was helpful in providing us with campus placement. Yes, an Industrial visit organised to BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited ).

The placement was good and there was a separate department of HR(Human Resources) Some of the companies that visited our campus are as follows:- Tech Mahindra, Infosys ( Information Systems ), TAFE (Tractor and Farm Equipments), Wipro etc. Also, the college prepared students for the placement season. Monthly once there was a placement training sessions.

Many technical events and cultural and festivals were celebrated during our course in college. Santasa, Payana were some of the cultural festivals. All the religious festivals were celebrated inside the college campus. During Diwali - we used to light Dia’s(lamps ). During Onam - we used to draw Rangoli’s. Etc. They were quite big as all the 4 streams (Namely Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science and Information Science )students From all 4 years were participating in the events.

Fees were reasonably less when compared to other engineering colleges around our college. There were 2 types of fee. Namely CET fee and College Fee. All the modes of payments were accepted by our college - Cash, DD, Cheque’s etc. No additional fee was charged what so ever. The fee- breakdown was completely transparent.

No. I did not opt for any as such. But my friend (batch-mates ) used to get the scholarship from Government of Karnataka as well as college. As in India, eligibility criteria was not limited to social status but it was reserved and restricted to only some religious community. The procedure was quite simple to apply. A form was to be filled. The average sum for which the scholarship was provided was 10000

Campus life was great as the campus was beautifully covered by greenery(trees and plants ). It was a good atmosphere for studies. No pollution and no disturbance from external sources. The gender ratio was 100:80 meaning for every 100 boys there were 80 girls. There were many extracurricular activities one of them is college day sports once a year. Robotics competition was held once and many participants participated. We made a rover (flying machine attached to the camera ). In our college, there was no gender discrimination and no ragging. All were treated with respect and all were given a chance to speak what they want to say. There were elections to choose a student union leader. The debates carried out in our labs and seminar halls were average.

No. I was a day-scholar meaning I was residing outside the college campus. But many of my friends (batch-mates) used to tell about the quality of food is good and the spaces in the room for accommodation was quite large. It was easily accomodable for 3 students.

I had an interaction with many of my seniors who were working in many IT (Corporate ) companies. They explained what a company sees in a candidate to choose him for the job. We have to be a good listener and quick learner and we must adapt to the changes and should go with the flow.

I was interested in science and how he machines work. So chose mechanical stream in engineering. I got a Common Entrance Test (CET) ranking & seat was available in RLJIT. I selected this college as it had made a good name in engineering colleges. Admission procedure was quite simple. The seat allotment letter from CET board was submitted to the college and fee was paid. Admission was approved.

Faculty support was great in RLJIT. In our stream that is mechanical engineering, we were strengthened by a great lecturers backbone. The tentative number of lecturers in our course was 15 on an average. They all were well qualified and the average age of them was 30 and average qualification was Master of Technology (M.Tech). HOD (Head Of the Department ) was always a Doctorate holder. Faculties were well qualified with the subjects they were handling and they also held the relevant industry - expertise and necessary certifications.
