Very Good insititue. Very reputed one. Known as MIT, Madras. Dr.Abdul Kalam is alumni of our institute. Such more eminaries are there from our institute. This is part of Chennai Anna Technical University, which is well managed by the esteemed teachning community.

it was a tough course having 7 Papers and 3 or 4 Practical papers every semester. We were always on our toes studying the course. But it was very interesting as the curriculam was more towards practical and making you a fulfledged specialised engineer.

As it was a speacialised course offered by this institute, placement wasnalways thru refreals from Alumni who were in the idnustry. During my year of completion, it was not that easy to find a job as the industry situation was not so good. Still most of us got the job later and settled well in life.

Annual Day, Intercollegiate Technical Cultural Competition, Sports Day, Alumni Day. Normally this was within the state and participation would be about 2000 students from various colleges in Tamil Nadu That period we use to give more importance to Cultural Competition than Technical ones, like the present days.

Feasible. Not expensive. It was 100% Government Institute hence the fee structure was very much transparent and affordable. Fees were within the government prescribed limits. There was various Fees structure for different category of students as per government directions such as BC / Sc / ST etc

There was no scholarship offered by the instiitue then. But Govrenment supported schemes were there for economically weak section.

Campus life was awesome. Gender ratio was 4:1 Male:Female those days. Those days our extracurricular activity was just sports and games. Robotics was not there, but had interesting engineering project works. Our Institute has the best Library to refer on various engineering subjects. Even Madras IIT people use our library source at times.

Yes. First year it was sharing basis. Next 2 years single accomodation. Very comfortable stay. Well maintained rooms. Good Food support. Hostel was managed by studnets participation by forming an administartion team among the studnets and teachers. As our own representation was there, it was very enjoyable life in hostel.

Our insitute has well established Alumni Association. Wellknited community and helpful in all angles now.

I had an aim to fulfill my parent's wish of me becoming an Engineer. Post Graduation in Science, this was the institute offering a fulltime Engineering Course, I decided to join here. Then it was a Three Year Engineering course after B Sc. Selection was just by merit.

Excellent, I would simply put it. They are rich in knowledge. More importantly, they are too good at teaching and guiding the students. They always make sure that we are at home and they are part of us and made us enjoy our studies. They were just our mentors, more than teachers.
