Remarks

My sister was also a student of sivanath Sastri College and i wanted to follow her legacy. This college is very old and very famous is our city and it is under Calcutta university. Sivanath Sastri College is the morning division of South City College

Course Curriculum Overview

As the college is closes now due to outbreak of corona virus, teachers are taking online classes to keep us up to date with our syllabus so that we dont fall behind. The teachers are diligent and they make sure we understand everything they teach.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell of sivanath Sastri is not that good. Very less students are placed every year and very few companies visit us for placements. The college is trying to improve on this by providing us with seminars and other counselling services.

College Events

Sivanath Sastri College has its own non political student union. The fests and other events are held by this student union. The campus of this college is not that good as the building is very old. Even our previous generation studied here.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
