Remarks
First of all, this is a government aided autonomous college. This is probably the only thing which attract students from all over the state, other than that, it was also close to my city(better than travelling to Bombay or Bangalore). And I also got my desired course which is why I agreed for the admission. I always wanted to study computers and I got the branch which I wanted.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course taught in the institute is really old and irrelevant according to today's standard. The faculties are good at the subject and experienced as well but they are least interested in teaching or taking classes. The practical sessions are just for the sake of attendance and not for learning or hands-on practice. I can name two faculty here - Mr. Nirmal Gaud Sir and Mrs. Sumit Dhillon mam, the only two teachers who took the course and students seriously in CS/IT branch.
Internships Opportunities
Any internship you get will be on your own, don't expect from the institute. Content writer - 6000 - The Humornation Assistant NLU - 20000 - RWS Moravia Campus editor - LinkedIn Digital Champion - Reliance Jio
Placement Experience
The institute is situated in a small town Vidisha which is close to Bhopal, but since it is not a tier 1 or 2 city, very few companies visit the campus, trust me don't believe any brochure or counselor regarding placements, most of the students get placements in open campus is Bhopal colleges, the campus placement here at SATI is very mediocre. Capgemini comes to campus and has a two year contract, other than that, since last year companies like LIDO and Byjus came for recruiting for sales man profile. No other big name I can remember when companies are concerned. TCS, Infosys conduct first phase of placements online.
College Events
The more you expect from the institute, the more you'll curse. But there's a way you can enjoy your college life here, just join the clubs and cells and you'll have the best experience of your life as well as your hand on learning will also be fulfilled here. The events organised by the clubs and cell stand out and are really good. The Cultural fest of this institute is Samrat Utsav, which is fine at the institute level, but no one else joins this fest from other institutes. Technical fest - Satyarth-I is very boring and receives very less participation. There's also a hidden story behind both of the fests, which you'll get to know in your first year. The management fests are organised by the Entrepreneurship cell of this institution which is one of the finest and you'll learn a lot from it.
Campus Life
The campus building is really old and needs a lot of maintenance, only the outer walls were recently painted and the outer roads were cleaned but all of this had a reason - new admission commencement dates were near. The inner walls, classes are all becoming trash now. On the other hand, the labs are top notch(only the CS/IT ones, and some smart classes as well) and equipped with latest PC's and fast internet services. The Hostels are a different story, the trashiness continues with broken walls, doors etc. Only 2-3 rooms are decorated which are shown to all the parents. The library is good but you get the amount of books according to your category - Gen, OBC, SC, ST. Sports facilities are good, there are separate cricket, football grounds, basketball, badminton courts etc.
Hostel Facilities
As I already mentioned in the infrastructure section, the hostel is the worst part of the college infrastructure, the rooms are dirty, bathrooms even bad with no light bulbs, the mess is fine but the food is worst with a below average cook. But keeping all of this aside, this is the best place or corner of the institute, where you'll make friends, family and a hell lot of memories to die for. A single room has 3 beds all in sharing, and after coming you'll enjoy at best, and take my word, never go for a PG, if hostel facility is available.
