Remarks

It is the best college in Bihar. Patna Science College has given many IAS, IPS officers to country. It has a culture to be on top in terms of pedagogy. Renowned physics professor H. C. Verma are among the most notable alumni. It has distinguished itself as one of the prime institutions in East India.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is at par with what is required in today's world. The teachers are very helpful and they motivate you to take up new things as well as help u with them. They are professionals dedicated to science. Prof. Ashok Kumar Jha, in particular, is really nice and very considerate towards students.

General graduation from science domain is not for employability. It is for knowledge. As a devoted student of science, you will find plenty of opportunities later to make money. This college will take you on a journey of discovering science. Still, some students got placed in NGOs as well as TCS, CTS etc.

College Events

The campus life is really colourful, all sorts of events keep you busy throughout the year. In addition to college and university level competitions we also have department level events, so everyone gets a chance to participate according to their level of interest and commitment.

The campus has almost everything you will need. It has well equipped library, a nice canteen, a gymnasium, Wi-Fi etc. The hostels are really nice and cosy. Some of the hostels are structured on British era buildings so they will give you a feel of grandeur.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are really nice, the rooms are spacious. They have refreshment facilities like carrom and chess, in addition, they also have a badminton court. The only problem being there is no attached mess. But that's not a big deal as plenty of private messages operate around and they serve good quality food.

The reality of A.N college: Academic, Politics, and placement.

Placement Experience:

From the last year students become eligible for the compus placement. Many students get selected in the campus filed like sbi, airtel, Infosys, icici bank etc. The highest package reached around 5 lac and average around 2-3 lac per annum. 80 percent placement rates my plan after getting the honour degree to full the government exam on graduation level.

A Meaningful Academic Journey with Practical Exposure

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall, I would rate the course curriculum as good and fairly comprehensive in terms of both relevance and coverage. It includes most of the important subjects required for building a strong foundation, and it gives a balanced mix of theory and practical learning. One of the main reasons I chose this course was the wide range of core subjects included in the syllabus. The curriculum covers fundamental topics as well as some advanced subjects, which made me feel that it would be useful both for jobs and for higher studies. The inclusion of projects, assignments, and case studies also influenced my decision, as they help in applying concepts in a practical way. In terms of real-world preparation, the curriculum prepares students reasonably well. Many subjects are directly related to industry requirements, and the project work helps in developing problem-solving and analytical skills. However, practical exposure can be improved further by adding more hands-on activities, live projects, and industry-oriented tools. For students who want to go for higher studies, the theoretical base provided by the course is quite helpful. There are a few areas where the curriculum and teaching methods can be improved. Some subjects have outdated topics which should be updated according to current industry trends. More focus can be given to practical training, internships, and skill-based courses. Teaching methods can also become more interactive by using more discussions, presentations, and real-life examples instead of only slide-based lectures. I choose this course because of my interest towards the environment and surroundings. The students and faculty ratio are approx 30:1. Faculty members are much more helpful in nature while teaching. I think the teachers in my department (Geology) are much better than another department

I didn't get much time to apply for other colleges and going out of city should have been much difficult. And comapred to other colleges in my city, this university is much known and good faculties are present. Admission can be both through entrance and merit based.
