Industrial visits to enhance skill and knowledge they are big and the participation in them improve you and the curriculum groomed to provide industry-specific knowledge to the students, that’d be helpful in securing on-campus placements.

Its ok depends on approach what you did and what is your outcome from your knowledge. You need to improve your skill beyond your bookish knowledge. College gives you Knowledge but you have to develop your skill to get placed somewhere you want.
