College with glitz and glories.

The college becomes a complete stranger as soon as a student passes out the passed out student has to toil ard to get simplest of the works done. Also the official staff are lazy and bossy in nature but apart from this, the college is a heaven for learning, with such knowledge as well as fests for the students to enjoy. Also the weather in the city makes the campus feel like another home.

I took GATE 20.24.

The course was widespread and gave insight to all the aspects present in our field of civil engineering. The practicals and the theories went hand in hand field visits were done occationally in order to help us gain some practical exposure.

Our batch was not exposed to internship from college, but the present batch is being sent by the college to various companies for internships. The students were not paid though.

In civil Engineering batch of 2015, 50% of the class was placed in IT companies and only 8% were placed in companies which were relevent to the field of study about 15% of them searched for jobs off campus and around 15% went ahead in pursuit of higher education.

The college fest "Jayciana" is celebrated with much flare. Other departmental fests are conducted by various student bodies of the institution. Such as "Literature Fest" by the editorial board, fests conducted by IEEE board, etc.

If the seat obtained is from an entrance exam, the cost turns out to be viable. If the seat taken in private, escalated expenses on fees alone is a guarantee.

Scolarships are provided for select candidates in the scholarship section the amount of scholarship depends on the students category.

The campus life is good and enjoyable the campus is termed Ragging free zone as well and it stays upto it's name. The helpful people in the city of mysore makes it a new home altogether.

Hostel facilities are good but the mess facilities are satisfactory but no need to worry as the food provided ou of campus is good in nutrition and also available at affordable rates.

The alumni is just satisfactory with no visible active works. Just once in the year the alumni are invited. The alumni are distant from what is happening in the department senior students are helpful in nature and thy give goos advices for the Juniors.

The exam structure is Continuous Internal Evaluation technique. %tests are conducted during the coursework and an exam is conducted in the end. Marks in each test and Exam have high weightage as losing a single mark leads to decrease the grade in the end. The gradation system works on a scale of 4 to 10, with alphabets E,D,C,B,A and S accounting to 4,5,7,8,9 and 10 scale points. Credit scores of the subject are multiplied with the scaled scores and final score is given in CGPA format.

The faculty is good, both in terms of knowledge as well as experience. The faculty members are helpful and friendly, with rare cases of neglect shown towards the passed out students.
