Shrey's Review On Sri Jayachamarajendra College Of Engineering - [SJCE], Mysore

I attempted CET & my rank was 1900. JCE is one of the oldest, reputed best colleges in Karnataka for BE Degree which was affiliated to VTU university then. Mysore is one the awesome place & its one of the education hub for students.

I was in to BE- Electrical Engineering (EEE), know to be one of the toughest degree in the entire stream of branches available. I opted Power Electronics, Logic Desing, Micro processor, Field Theory & SCADA systems.

SJCE is known for its placements. All the cream companies like CTS, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Google were part of it. I was placed in CTS.

JAYCIANA is JCE's official college fest. It used to be a 3 day gala event with celebrities being part of it. Skits of lokal boyzz was the best part of it apart from the fashion show.

I got a free seat, My fee was very flexible & it was like 10000 Rs per year. But now its a deemed university I heard that minimum fee is like 50000 INR for year which is sad. Merit students have to still pay the same fee.

Since I got a free seat. There was no need for me to avail any loan facility. However there are many sahakari banks for giving loans to poor students.

Campus life is one of the best experience in my entire career of Engg. I still cherish the moments. We remember those gang quarrels, bunking the classes, having debates, copying in internals, teasing lecturers.

I had a great senior alumini interactions. They were helpful in guiding us across all through the placements. There industry experience sharings helped us to concentrate on the practical aspects of it.

The faculty was one the USP of the college. They are widely experienced professors who not only teach as per college curriculum but also focus on the practical aspects of it.
