Entrance Preview
I have written CET Common Entrance Test after my 10+2 and in the third round i got my seat conformed in SJCE, Mysore. It was Industrial & Production Engineering. My score was 16850 in CET. I have gathered information about colleges and for my rank i have short listed some colleges. Based on it I opt SJCE, I&PE as my college and Branch.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was overall fine. I had to choose three electives in 3 semesters. FEM, Power Plant Management and JITThe electives are always interesting. I used to opt what i was interested in rather following the crowd.
Internships Opportunities
There were no such opportunities provided my college during course of time. But during vacation based on reference I got my internship done at SVE casting Pvt. Ltd, Bellary. They provided me a friendly environment to learn. And there was no stipend provided. Overall it was an wonderful industrial experience.
Placement Experience
Placements at SJCE are always on the top. This year 2015 there was 600 students place in just a month. And in my batch it was around 42 fellow frds got placed out of 71. On a average it was 60% of students from I&PE.Companies where TCS, WIPRO, Accenture, Amazon, Benz, Toyato K, Page Industries, Triveni Groups.
College Events
I have no idea about the other branches but our department was the coolest in the college. They used to have a friendly conversation. The standard of teaching was quite high. They where more experienced and more professional.
Fee Structure And Facilities
No it was flexible and it was not that expensive. We need to pay 28000 per year. and it was through bank. And we used to enjoy the bank process. I have a different experience in SJCE. I love to stay there. If i could i will join the college as Lecturer.
Alumni/Alumna
As usual very low communication gap. We are planning for a bridge between the alumni and freshers and even the senior students.
