MY COLLEGE MY BEST DAYS

In our period it was prestigious to study commerce stream in our college and had good rating for the course and the for students who passed out from that college. The management had good lot of concern about the poorer section of the society and hence kept the fee structure at a very nominal level and thus help to get education for all

Had very good lecturers in the commerce stream and gained good knowledge in economics, business English and taxation. This helped me to choose my career in the commercial field and now i am an independent business person. Even when i was on the job, my knowledge gained at my college helped me a lot in understanding the commercial aspects of the business organization and thus i got good position in reputed organizations.

At the time we were studying, there was no concept of placements at the college campus. Even there was no internships concept also, however, when we used to attend the interviews at different organizations, upon knowing that we are from aps college, we used to extra weightage in selection process

While i was studying in aps college we were privileged to celebrate silver jubilee function which was a big event and had good lot of cultural, sports programs. I have also participated in singing competition but could not get any prize. Every year, we used have lot of cultural progammes, debate competition, inter college singing, dance programmes, inter college cricket matches,drama competition, nss activites, ncc activites, culturl tours, study tours etc,

The fee structure was very very economical and was affordable to all sections of students. There was no donation or extra fee collected except the monthly tuition fee and yearly once laboratory charges, library charges. So it was not a burden. Even fee was to be paid in installments and hence, there was no need to pay lump sum payments.

Though there used to be scholarships of different agencies associated with the college, i never applied or availed any scholarships. Also there was no need for any education loan as the fee structure was very nominal and also was payable in installments.

The college is of co education system. However, the classes were separate for boys and girls. We used to have committees for cultural activities sports activities, which used to have common for both girls and boys. So all the competitions used to have participation by both boys and girls. Also we used to have debate, dance, music competition and the results were so transparent that the real talents used to get encouraged by garnering the prizes and certificates.

Yes there is an alumni and are connected through social medias. Even though we have come out of college about 35 years, we are connected with the college staff, students through social medias

Called for applications in news paper advt. And applied for admission on the prescribed application and got selected as per the merit list. Alloted seats in all three streams (arts, science & commerce). Opted commerce as i was not comfortable with maths. Also our college was very famous for commerce stream.

The faculty in core subjects were excellent and were in high demand. it was our privilege to have lecturers of economics, mercantile law, business taxation, business english, commerce, the notes of lessons of our lecturers were in demand and the students of other colleges used to request us to share those notes.
