Overall it was a memorable experience, could have been better. I would recommend keep looking for options but keep Nirma as one.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good but needs some improvisations, which are being made on rigourous basis by authorities, based on feedback of present students. The aim of the program is to generate business understanding and how to explore various markets and give students a platform to expand their business. The programme helped us groom ourselves and change our perspective of viewing things and moreover developed our business network, that is helping us expand our reach. We had an international industry visit to Europe organised by our college, along with visit to Adani office, mundra ports and several other industries in India
Placement Experience
The college doesn't provide placements for the particular course, as the students here opt to run their family business. However students go for internships in summer break in industry of their choice.
College Events
Nirma holds all kinds of events. From inter section to University level to National level. They are sports, cultural, education, talent based and so on. The scale is so big that best part of Nirma is its events and that is the place you learn the most.
Fee Structure And Facilities
7.8 Lakh is overall fees. Apart from that you pay activity fees and books & Material fees. If you go for hostel, which is not compulsory for this course additional charges are applicable which varies on the type of accommodation you opt for. Also you pay additional for the industrial visit to Europe /India, where you again get a choice. The trip is organised by wishes and desires of students and thus they they decide upon the costs and vendor.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. I didn't opt for a education loan or security. Students can avail loan and scholarships based on merit and their family income.
Campus Life
3:1 ratio of boys and girls. An amazing campus life, with lush green campus, excellent sports facilities, and events held round the year. Infact Nirma created an environment where every student strived to try new activities and the things and become more creative.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. They are twin sharing and have sufficient accommodation capacity. It's a highly maintained hostel, rather one of the best hostel. Every room has balcony attached to it. You can opt for air conditioned room, or non air-conditioning and even for a room with attached washroom and a/c (these are limited in number). Good amount of freedom is given to students. It's a highly secured hostel, so no concerns on safety ever arise. Apart from that mess, maid and laundry facilities are also provided.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, regular sessions were taken by our alumnus, who provided industry feedback and their experience of turning theory into reality. Nirma has a great alumni network, and hosts Alumni Meet every year.
Admission
I applied straight from college website for the process. An entrance exam and interview process was held at Delhi in couple of days, and a week later we received the list. Nirma University is a highly reputed institute and offers a great campus life, industry experience, and chance to grow your skills
Faculty
This is 102.5 credit course, where 1 credit equals 10 hours. Per subject has 30 lectures. The faculties here are professionals and possess excellent industrial knowledge and experience. Faculties are quite strict and like keep to maintain discipline and decorum. They are well trained, helpful and highly skilled.
