My College

The college is basically financed and innaugrated by Maha Raja Gwalior Shri Jiwaji Rao Scindia.College was constructed and startedwith great expenditure.Very exclusive building, well equiped, well teaching staff. Excellent college.

Exam system was very relevant. there was Symester system. Performance was examinedand evaluated at every stage and final Rank/ percentage was evaluated accordingly. College is Egineering professional, Industrial specific knowledge was the only target and was achieved.

I did my graduation in 1972. In those days companies usually do not visi the campus for placement. Placements in the companies were done on college merrit and interviews at the companies platforms only.

Convocation Day, Republic Day, Independence Day,Ghandi Jayanti, College aniversary day, Teachers Day, Engineers day, various cultural programs and suport activities were the big celeberations and there were great participations in all celebrations.

Fees were accepted by cheques. Fees was deposited annually.Fees was deposited once in year in begining of cession during Juky of every year.The admission was on merrit basis. There were no special fees/charges to secure admission.Fees breakdon was absolutely transparent.

I got merrit scholarship about Rs75/month during my college period. the scholarship was on basis of entrance qulification exam merit in Jiwaji University Gwalior.

Campus life was very charming. There were litle female students. Girls to boys ratio was about10/100 but there was a tolerance. There was a very big and well equiped workshop in the college campus. Students participate in religion activities.Most of the Student were from the families have sufficient political and economical background.

I did not opt for hostel. Hostel rooms were very good. There were hostel rooms to accomodate about 1/20 tH of total strength of college. there were about 1500 students in college and there were about 100 hostel rooms.

I was an engineer in UP State Electricity Board. I spent my whole service in thermal power stations. During my service I met many engineers graduated from my college senior and junior to me working in various organisations BHEL, L&t etc and other big companies.We were very happy when we met.

I had 7Th position in Jiwaji University Gwalior (All Subjects) in entrance qualification. My percentage in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics was at the top most which was the actual qulification for admission. I got admission in August, 1967. My birth place is Morena. I lived most in my childhood in Gwalior region therefore I like my College.I worked hard during entrance qualification and got top rank and hence got admiission with an Honour.

Tentative number of lecturers in my course was 50, average age was50 years, average qualification was Post Graduate to Doctor of Philosophy. All of teachers were very expert in providing clarity about the subject and many of them were famous at National and International level.Some lecturers were have relevant industrial experience.
