Well I completed my 12 standard and scored an average score of 948 out of 1200 .My cut off was 160 so I couldn't get any good colleges in my surrounding, so I joined this college by paying few lacks as donation .
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum comes under Anna university .All the subjects are really important to become a mechanical engineer.Elective papers often appear during your last three semesters .You cant choose you elective it depends on majority .
Internships Opportunities
I did not take up placement as i had other ideas.Well a dozen of companies offered internship programs and some of them were "all work and no pay" some of them offered stipend between 6k to 12k.
Placement Experience
In my department 7 students got placed in tech mahendra which is not a core company by the way. Some got internships, some got placed in tire 2 and tire 3 companies with an average salary of 12k (core).
College Events
Cultural and management festivals :annual day, pongal, hostel day, de mass(department function)Tech bash is the only technical festival that occurs in our department once a year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As I joined as a management student my fee is 1L per semester if u join through counciling its 85k. In recent times I think they have brought down the fee for my juniors .
Fees and Financial Aid
College does not provide any loans or scholarships.You can take up bank loans to pay the fee .There are several trusts that provide scholarships based on the exam score from your 12th grade.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is based on Anna university .Five to six theory papers per semester and a couple of laboratories.So if you plan well you can chill out but the structure wont be hectic.
Faculty
We cant expect every faculty to be liberal and friendly .Some of them are really well trained with industrial and teaching experience especially in mechanical department, I don't know about other streams .
