Admission
To became an Accounting Professional, I had choose three years Honours Degree in Accountancy Course. I had choose this College because it is a very old and renowned historical college. In January 1884 with permission from Lord Ripon, it was renamed as Ripon College and became a full-fledged degree College under the University of Calcutta. Most distinguished scholars had pass out from this college. I am proudly said that I am a lucky student who studied this college where eminent freedom fighter Sir Surendra Nath Banerjee himself taught in the College for many years with rare distinction. Sir Banerjee who "Surrender Not" before British Govt. in his life time. Admission Procedure in the year 1987 ( 33 years back) was very simple, they are admitted student based on the merit and I never face any problem for admission and that time the college fees was only Rs.12/- per month and I had no money for paying the fees of the college and the then Principal allowed me for Free Study in the College. I thankful to the College and Salute Surendra Nath College. Today what I am only because of this college.
Faculty
That time in the year 1987-1990 there are many eminent Scholars/writers taught the college. I had no private tutor i.e. there were no need at all because all the professors are taught us like their child. They had no motive for making money. I had gathered knowledge and experience from them which later makes me Professional in my field. Presently I am Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, Award Master degree in Business Administration specialisation in Finance, Professional Specialised Certification in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examiner and successfully working in Central Public Sector Enterprises.
