Remarks
Kristu Jayanti is a good college. Academically, my course was not challenging, it's pretty easy. Apart from the subjects, one should focus on growing as an individual through other activities the college provides.
Course Curriculum Overview
I did not attend any campus recruitment events as I see that for the technical related courses like BBM, BCA, etc. I was pursuing my BA degree. It's a good college and a lot of extracurricular activities take place throughout the year - depending on your interest, you should decide which ones to focus.
Placement Experience
As mentioned above, I did not attend any campus recruitment events as I see that for the technical related courses like BBM, BCA, etc. I was pursuing my BA degree. I did not pay attention to them. I have limited information regarding this.
College Events
Several events and festivals are held throughout the year but I was never interested in them. I used to bunk events and festivals jumping out of the campus walls to go home after attendance. I could not recall the names of such events but I remember one, Nrityanjali.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee varies depending on the subject and course you choose. I believe mine was 60000 per year. The college does provide transparency in the fee-breakdown. There are no additional fees to secure an admission - if you are not qualified, you are not qualified; if you are qualified, you are.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not avail any scholarship or loan. I have absolutely nothing to share in regards to this question.
Campus Life
It's a modern college with a diverse student population. We had students from all over the country and some from other countries as well. We had Nigerians and Koreans in our batch. I don't remember the gender ratio but I guess there were more males than females. There is no discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics or economic status.
Alumni/Alumna
I am among the alumni. I am not really in touch with anyone but if I wanted to, we do have ways to keep in touch through social media and our college website.
Admission
I opted for a subject combination of Journalism, English Literature and Political Science as both English and Journalism seemed interesting to me. This was one of the best colleges in Bangalore and a few known friends had already studied there when I was seeking admission. Selection for my BA admission was based on the interview after qualifying the cut-off percentage when I appeared for it in 2010. After clearing the interview with one of the Fathers, I was provided with a prospectus and my selection was confirmed.
Faculty
We had about 3 lecturers for each subject while I was studying there. All of them were all very qualified in their respective fields of study although I have no detailed information on all of their qualifications. I know that some of them completed more than 3 Masters.
