Review of PDPM IIIT JABALPUR

This is a pathetic and most bogus college of the country and the Government should reconsider its decision to call it a IIIT and a Deemed university. Some if the faculty members may even mentally harass you if you do not satisfy their filthy ego.

The teachers of the college at that point of time were totally disgusting and to be very clear did not deserve to be called Professors. The students were totally dependent on the books to pass the semester exams rather than the rubbish lectures the faculty provided. And as far as placements were concerned the placement call was headed by a totally unprofessional faculty member and staff that was totally not capable enough to bring good companies to the college. The median package of ECE branch in 2012 was barely around 3.5 lakhs per annum.

Placements were totally not upto the mark, moreover the college decided to go for Project Based Internship in our 3 rd year with total onus of arranging internships on the student himself because the stupid faculty members didn't have any industry contacts and were totally pathetic with their approach towards inviting companies for internships or placements.

CULTURAL EVENT TARANG AND TECHNICAL FEST ABHIKALPAN that didn't even happen in 2011. I am unaware about today's scenario but only the cultural fest of college Tarang was popular during 2008-12 and that to only in the city, none knew about this outside Jabalpur. As far as technical fest is concerned even the college students themselves were not interested in it, so forget about other students of neighbouring colleges.

It was a Central Government Deemed University so the fee structure was as per the Government norms at that time. Per semester fees was around Rs. 22000 and mess fees for the semester around 11000. Food was pathetic for the first 2 years and after students revolted in 3 rd year some action was taken to improvise.

No I did not get any scholarship. Moreover I was deprived of my chance to visit JAPAN on study tour because of internal politics which hampered my career prospects. My chance was taken away and given to a less deserving and a teacher favourite student.

We didn't have any campus till 3 rd year. We were residing in JEC COLLEGE HOSTEL till end of 2 nd year. Computer lab was very small with very few computers. No Gym facility for students. In 3rd year we shifted to new campus in DUMNA where there were some improvements but still was not upto mark. Teachers in college were stupid and egoistic. Gender ratio was very poor in our branch of around 52 students only 3 girls were there.

Yes, I opted for hostel. The rooms in the first 2 years were triple seated and in 3rd year was 2 seated and finally in 4 th year we got single seater rooms. The hostels had a poor mess facility and even wifi and free internet services were not provided to students.

The alumni of our college were themselves struggling during the time we sat for our placements. Many seniors went for higher studies, because everyone was of the view that this bogus college really ruined the future prospects of the students.

I got admission in this college through AIEEE 2008. I chose ECE branch because I had interest in developing electrical circuits and wanted to know more about VLSI technology. In 2008 the counseling process was very stringent and was not flexible. My AIR was around 12000 in AIEEE and in counseling not many good options were left by the time my turn came to select the preference list. Moreover I was fascinated by the IIIT tag but after joining the college found it to be totally a myth.

The faculty members were totally ridiculous and moreover a sincere student who might use online courses today on NPTEL or any other platform might acquire better knowledge than the stupid faculty members that were present in college at that point of time. Moreover the basic needs like free internet connectivity to students was also not provided at that point of time.The lectures provided by the faculty was totally useless except for 1 or 2 teachers in the entire college.
