A Detailed Review of Sathyabama College.

Management is good only in all departments and every staff encourages students in improving their talent in all means both in technical and non-technical. This college is very good for placements where most of the service based and product based companies are covered.

The course curriculum has been followed by the previous year's syllabus for every department. which is very useful for placements to get a job. Covering every topic is the main motive of the staff. Yes, it is very relevant for us and gained enough technical knowledge. Our staff will aim at covering the basic concepts and are very friendly clarifying every doubt for students. Starting from the first year staff aim at focusing students to crack placements and teach according to it.

The placements went well. Before attending for any job interview our faculty made us revise the basic concepts and conducted some special classes covering all concepts including technical,non-technical, and some tips in attending an interview. In some companies, there are some eligibility criteria for a student to follow. At last 90% of our batch got placed in various companies having a salary range from 3lakhs to 40lakhs.

Our college has many clubs that every participant of a student is mandatory. and also there any many certification programs and workshops conducted once in a year by the students themselves. Cultural programs are conducted by the management in which we enjoyed a lot. In cultural, celebrities are invited as chief guests, and many dance performances have taken place.

Our college fees are very expensive and that includes tuition fees, hostel fee book fees, and also for extracurricular activities. Fees are around 2.5 lakhs per annum. Any mode of payment is accepted like cash, debit, and credit card, etc. Year by year fees increments by 20000 which is very difficult for the low-class family to pay.

I have got admission into this college by writing an entrance test in which they offered me a seat in the computer science branch based on my test. There are also many admissions based on scholarship and education loan in which our college encourages in getting seats for students.

The gender ratio is 1:1. Campus life is very different. My college gives first preference to extracurricular activities and then next comes studies. There is a basketball championship in which all colleges in various states in India compete with us and in the year 2013 our college secured first prize all over India. Also, our college excels in many sports like cricket, badminton etc. Our college has a very big library in which most of the student spend time in reading books after finishing classes.

No, I stay with my family in Chennai. The hostel fees are not affordable for the students who stay in it. Food is provided with quality but maintenance is not so good. The outside PG's are much better when compared to college hostel. Also there is a restriction that outside food is not allowed for hostel people.

Our seniors helped us in a great manner both in the technical and non technical field. Every month there is a meet up conducted by the management for the juniors and seniors who are willing to share their thoughts and ideas. They interact with others then discuss in detail, implement and publish by submitting the articles. There is very good coordination between them.

One of my relatives suggested me to join sathyabama university so I had written the test and then cleared the entrance exam. Later I attended counselling. The admission process went very well firstly the management welcomed every member with a smile and addressing about the university and soon they started the admission process in which I got a computer science seat and within few weeks I have joined.

Coming to our faculty, there are some staff who teach only basics and not covering the whole concepts. whereas some teach in a very practical manner that makes understand for all students. Discipline is the crucial thing that every staff makes students follow. All lecturers working in sathyabama hold at least a pg degree and some are certified in their field.
