Entrance Preview
NATA I had the 83rd rank. I chose architecture because I love being creative and designing things. The admission to each colleges was based on our NATA rank ( NATA score plus twelfth standard board exam marks).
Course Curriculum Overview
We had electives in the fourth and the fifth years, ie, the semesters 8 and 9. I chose the electives Vernacular Architecture and Architectural Conservation in semester 8. In semester 9, I had Tourism and Cost Effective Technology.
Internships Opportunities
We could choose our own internship. We had an entire semester to go for an internship in an architectural firm of our own choice. That was semester 7. I did my internship in Trivandrum at Environmental Creations. All of us got much practical experience after the internship period.
Placement Experience
I am still a student. We don't have placements in our college. Once we pass out, the options open to us are. Work under a professional Architect. Start our own firm. Go for teaching.
College Events
In our college we have an inter-college cultural fest every year named 'Rithu'. The inter-college technical fest is 'Tezoro'. We have 'Cardex' as part of 'Tezoro', which is conducted by our own department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible. Scholarships are allotted to those who find difficulty financially, and also to those who are academically excellent.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarships based on finance and also based on academics. Many categories of scholarships are being provided in our college.
Campus Life
Campus life is once in a lifetime experience. There will be ups and downs in everyone's campus life. One should utilize one's campus life to the fullest.
Alumni/Alumna
We maintain good contact with our seniors and alumini. Even they are very helpful. There are alumini meets also offered in our college. We maintain friendly relations with our alumini.
Exam Structure
We have exams every six months. The course structure is based on semesters. In addition to that we have two internal exams in every semester.
Faculty
They are friendly and nice people, helpful. There are both permanent and guest faculties in our college. Almost 20 faculty in total in our department. There are few non teaching faculty also in our department, who are also very friendly and helpful to us.
