Remarks
Money minded college, but I love the campus and the campus environment.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is vast we have our main subjects, as well as other curriculum like fashion society, dance classes, NGOs etc where we help the poor people of the neighbouring villages to get little supplies after taking certain surveys we submit it to our head teacher assigned for it, then we discuss on along with our teachers and group members and try to find a solution or give justice to them.
Placement Experience
I guess the placement of our college is quite good, as I’ve heard from my senior friends, the placements are quite good. So thumbs up to the faculty I can’t assure that it’s super good though because everyone doesn’t wanna work at the same place right, so it varies from person to person.
College Events
Chorus, freshers meet, Environment day, school India club football championship, international yoga day, Republic Day, Independence Day, special guest lectures, convocation ceremony, Northeast cultural program, world WiFi day, Teachers award, Sharda cup, world radio day and more
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is kind of high in our university, specially the fines are very unreal, if you get expelled you have to pay 30,000, if you do anything it’s 30,000, on top of that if use any electronic stuff you have to pay extra electricity bill, the hostel rooms are quite good as per the fees, we pay 140,000 for the tuition fee, and 10,000 exam fee, 160,000 for a single Ac room hostel, 20000 security, after all this payments our excursions aren’t for free we have to pay money to go for an excursion via college, if you wanna eat non-veg you have to pay in dollars, after almost lakhs of payment for a single room without Ac you won’t get a private bathroom, you have to share with the three seaters and the two seaters without Ac and one seater with Ac and it’s very dirty, we can reach to college on time as we have to wait for the others to finish their washing and cleaning. Only two lifts are available which works very slow and at times of college it gets very jammed.
Fees and Financial Aid
None, I haven’t applied for any scholarship. Also Sharda university doesn’t provide any such opportunities to students.
Campus Life
Campus life is fun if you opt to stay in hostels, if you are a dayscholar it’s just a simple college life and it’s about studies but if you live in the campus it’s very lively, we meet and great our friends in the evening after our classes, cafes are open inside where we can chill eat, hangout, gyms are available if you wanna join one, we have deadlines in our hostel on summers we have to get in the hostel at 9:00 and on winters it’s 8:00.Overall hostel life is fun.
Hostel Facilities
No, but I have lived in hostel during my first year of college, and there are varieties or rooms a single seater Ac and non Ac, double seater Ac and non Ac, tripple seater Ac and non Ac.each price differ from room to room, also only double room Ac have their private washroom, others have to share which makes our schedule bad for college, indian students have to eat vegetarian food if you wanna opt for non veg you have to pay in dollars, only 1st year hostel is clean and taken care of properly once you step inside the 2nd year hostle nothing is good it’s all broken and dirty, also hostel is given only to those who pays first.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are helpful and friendly, they were of great help in our first and second year, many seniors helped us in our notes and understanding they guided us in our visitations to jail and court they shared their experience and told us to avoid the mistakes they’ve done.
Admission
I had a friend whose sister studied in this college and since my friend also was gonna take admission in it I was planning to take admission together with her and then we went on and took phone interview where they asked our name, our hobbies, what’s courses do we prefer etc and how much precentage we got in school after some months the result came and we came for admission to the university.
Faculty
Our university faculty is a mixture of both professional and unprofessional teachers, some teachers are extremely good while others can’t even handle the class crowd, and most of the time they can’t explain the subject clearly to us, most of them read and write in English but would prefer to teach in Hindi whilst there are students from other countries as well who doesn’t really understand Hindi, so it’s quite a trouble sometimes, even though they do speak in English sometimes we can’t really understand what they’re trying to say. So yeah the faculty is quite messed up in our university most of the staff aren’t helpful to the students at all, the only thing they care about is fees if we go take some other queries to them they act busy.
