Our Bhawanipore College

My college is very focused about studies (students can enjoy the studies) and gave a lot of emphasis on overall students development. They used to conduct extra classes as well. The personality development classes were also really helpful.

The college do not have much placement opportunities for the students. But the college keeps the students updated with various job opportunities available for them according to their skills. Jobs are easy to obtain in private and public sectors with fair pay packages

College celebrates various events from republic day to indepence day and from Pujas to Christmas. Apart from these, there are fests called communique and umang which is vVery well known in other colleges too. Its massive and fun a lot of events are held under it from dancing to sudoku.

For the different courses, fees are taken three times, first one is to be paid for the 1st year, second time for the 2nd year and so on the whole course fee is less than a lakh. First time we paid 2000 and then 2000 and then 2500 way back in 1997 to 1999. Now it may range from 25000 to 35000.

As the fees are low, i did took any scholarship or loans, but there is BHAWANIPUR GUJARATI SHISHYA PRATISTHAN An Association of Ex-Students' of the Schools run by The Bhawanipur Gujrati Education, through this we can get the scholarship for the fees and books etc.

There are a lot of sports activity in college for the college students. There is a common room for both boys and girls both are given equal chances to be a part of it and play. Gender Rationis fair we can say equal. College organizes many events in which students can be part of it like debates, singing competition etc.

No, there is not Hostel facility. But it surely provides proper details of the PG systems near the college which are safe for both boys and girl as lots of student come to our college from other parts of West Bengal, Bihar and Assam and even Nepal.

College life are the best life, it didn't need that ragging system to get along with the seniors. Seniors have always been helpful every year the college gives alumni to seniors who passed with first division. We have alumi group of Students who make arrangements to meet on regular basis and take some social activities.

I got an advantage of getting the admission directly based on my Schooling from J.J.Ajmera High School. There is Online application for Admission which shall be begin from the day any of ISC / CBSE/ WBCHSE Class XII Board result is declared. At present the process is as below The College has an online application process. There won’t be any physical distribution of forms. Application fees to be deposited via online payment mode or by direct payment at Federal Bank. After payment of application fee, please keep checking the website for the merit list. Don’t make inquiries with the College for merit list, it will be put up on the College website. On being merit listed you shall receive a SMS and email on your registered mobile/ email ID. Please follow the instruction given in the email. There is no need to submit your application form, bank money receipt etc to the college office. Please retain them with you for your records. Students with Compartmental or Fail result in Class XII Board are not eligible to apply for any courses in the College

The faculty of the college is really good and friendly. They are all very helping regardless of the individual or work. They help us a lot both academically and in general. They are three sections of the commerce department. The morning section has the best faculty by far but the afternoon and evening section also have good faculties.
