Ethiraj College for wonder women

Good Management and Good College, Safe college for Women, excellent opportunistices provided to those who would love to excell.

The course curriculum was well planned and very informative. It is semester based, each year consisting of 2 semesters. This college is affiliated to Madras University. Unlike any other course we were pushed to do 3 internships which gave us exposure and also we were nurtured about the corporate and professional lives due to the internship experience.

I did one of my internship with Indian Overseas bank; One from Shri Ram chit funds and another from Central Bank. Placements are 70% promising, I got placed in Ajuba solutions but was never called later. Then I changed my plans and started post graduation.

Swastik is the annual culturals celebration, it is hosted by Ethiraj college for 3 continuous days. It had an entry fee of 150 rupees per day for other college students. Non students were not allowed and entry tickets were provided based only on the verified college IDs.

fees structure is feasible for upper middle class family, it can still be manageable for middle class families. Fees is usually deposited in the IOB Bank account. In order to have safe transactions, Ethiraj college has made it mandatory for all the students to have an account in IOB Account and therefore the fees transactions are easier that way.

i did not opt for scholarship Did the college offer scholarship opportunities to students? If yes, what was the eligibility criteria and procedure to apply for the same. What was the average sum for which the scholarship was provided? i did not opt for scholarship

Ethiraj college is one of the top colleges for women in chennai and women from all over the country pursue education from this prestigious institution. We had so many opportunities for extra curricular opportunities. Singing, dancing, photography, oratorical, debates, etc etc etc

No, I did not opt for Hostel, Hostels are pretty strict, I had friends stayed in Hostel, Non hostel students cannot visit hostels even though Hostel is in the campus. Since the hostel is inside the campus it is very secure. Hostel students can go out once a week. Hostel attendance will be taken every evening. No mobiles or laptops were allowed for the hostel students making things difficult for them to contact their families.

Seniors were very very helpful, there was absolutely zero ragging. Seniors infact offered their books for us in half price during the first year however the books were pretty much worn out and were not worth half price. which was a bit disappointing.

I filled up the admission form and had to go back to the college to check whether my name got listed in the selected candidates. The selection was more likely based on the marks obtained in the 12th standard. Post which I had an interview with the HOD of the department. The interview was generic more like formality. We were asked to pay the fees on the same day to block my seat.

The faculty were the best, the were all PhD graduates. There were around 7 faculties including HOD of the department. HOD is very patient. We had all women faculties since the college is for women, all faculties are preferred to be women. Economics faculty belonged to Economics department and likewise language faculties and english faculty belonged to different departments as well.
