Conclusion - if you are planning to pursue a bachelors degree in Ahmedabad city, this is the place where you can have lifetime memories while learning so many things at the same time. This college will give various opportunities, you just have to be smart enough to use all those wisely. Only thing I would like to change about this college is to conduct more case study sessions and not go all theoretical, rest assured everything is up to the mark. Thank you.

The course curriculum is updated every year, keeping in mind the dynamic changes in the world of business and education. You can use so many lessons in practical life too. Taxation was my favourite subject because now I have good knowledge about the taxation system of India. There are also industrial visits conducted every year for students, I was given a chance to visitan huge oil manufacturing company. Companies like ICICI Prudential, Fastrack,Care ratings and many good companies come for placements. I can assure you that you will atleast get a basic start and satisfaction.

Good companies do visit like Care Ratings, Coca Cola, Tradebull, Icici prudential and the list goes on but you need more then just a degree to grab a high level position in a company. You need to impress the interviewer with your skills which I’m sure every employer is looking for. I managed to get placed in ICICI prudential after bcom with package of 2.5 Lpa. Almost 80-90% students get placed somewhere but to be on the top you need to bring your A game to the interview. Yes Institiue do train us before sending us to the interview. There is a special seminar conducted for the same.

The best part about this college is conducting so many events and being successful in every event they do. For starters, this college have received so many awards for putting up great fashion shows. Be it Sports, Communication, education, dance and singing, GLS have provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and add so many skills on their resume and life ;). Proud to say this that one of the student got an opportunity to join a fashion company - JGD production house in Mumbai.

Fees structure was a little high for Bcom Course I can say, MBA course is reasonable. The fees of my course was 12,000 per semester so it adds up to 12000*6 semesters = 78000 total fees. But I think it is worth it, considering the goodwill of the college and opportunity platfor we get here. I don’t remember exactly but if you get admission then you need to pay the first semester fees only. The mode of accepting fees is cash/cheque. Yes, you get a clear transparency in the fee - breakdown.

I haven’t opted for any loan because fees was not that expensive but they do have the loan facilities available. Check GLSIC.IN for more information

On gender ratio, I would say 51/49 boys and girls but I don’t have the accurate data. Coming to the extracurricular activities, women empowerment was always given so much importance and I think that is absolutely necessary. There were special competitions set by the event committee team for girls like Mehendi competition, rangoli making competition, cooking, etc. But the big surprise was that even boys took so much interest in this activities and helped their girl team members to improve and become a better version. I think there was so much passion in each students, so many of them begged prizes and gold medals in competition like arts, swimming, cricket and the list goes on. Campus life is good, surrounded by positivity and cleanliness. The playing ground is not that big but will do enough to carry out many activities. There is also a newly built gym facility for students with hygienic food canteen inside so I think students can workout after college and that is such a good facility. Activities like public speaking, debates is also conducted in Auditorium. Many guests were invited to give out information on robotics or technology or business meditationand communication skills. Overall you can get every opportunity to improve yourself, you just have to be passionate enough to grab such chances.

No, I haven’t opted for hostel as earlier there was no hostel when I got in, but now they have created such a good facility for girls hostel and boys hostel. They also have build a wonderful gym in which the fees is a bit lesser for students of this University.

We all filled up an alumni form when we left the course so that we can stay in touch after the college. Yes the senior students are very helpful and they will give out best advice on how to grab every opportunity. I’ve also seen many seniors helping junior students to get internships or placement. Being an alumni of this college is a big thing as you come across so many students in your college years and many will be helpful in the future.

The admission of GLS University is on merit basis. This college offers bachelors and masters degree in various fields. I opted for Bachelors in Commerce(B.com) because I was not sure if I wanted to opt for MBA, so while pursuing Bcom you have ample of opportunities to step foot in many career fields and you also have some time left as college is only for 4 hours. Students pursuing CA or CS can join this college. The best part about this college is that it conducts so many good activities like dance, fashion shows, sports competition, industrial trips, etc. You can have the best 3 years of your life while pursuing any course from GLS University.

I use to attend lectures even when attendance wasn’t that necessary. But I only attended some lectures of Accounting, Taxation, and communication because the faculties use real life based examples to help understand the concept much better. There are 4-5 lectures conducted everyday from morning 7.30 to 11.30. Some faculties also had multiple business in the city and they would still take guest lectures and I would love to attend those as they are much experienced and give good examples to understand realistic concepts.
