Remarks

The college management needs to invest some more to motivate students in taking part of extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Basically as far as I know the course curriculum is same in all the medical colleges of Telangana which was decided by Dr. NTR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES. We have a total of course course years 1st year includes 3 subjects namely Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and is of 1 year duration. 2nd year has 4 subjects namely Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and is of 1 year and 6 months duration.3rd year has 3 subjects namely E.N.T,Opthalmology,Social and preventive medicine. 4th year has 4 subjects namely General medicine, General surgery, Obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric and is of 1 year duration. When I passed this all I had to complete 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship during which we are placed in all of the clinical departments which provides us with the required training.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no concept of campus placements in a medical college but an average pay for a MBBS graduate is 45,000/- to 50,000/- per month.

College Events

1.5

Sports week is conducted every year during which various outdoor and indoor games are conducted among the undergraduates, post graduates and faculty which is followed by a cultural festival which spans for a time period of 1week during which singing competition, dance competition and other various cultural activities take place and is concluded with an Annual day celebration. Every alternate year a medical exibition takes place when students from various schools attend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are three categories 1. A-cat : 60,000/-p.a, 2. B-cat: 2,40,000/-p.a 3. Management quota: 15 lacs p.a. The 1st and 2nd categories are alloted on merit basis and are done by a national level counselling of all the colleges across the country simultaneously.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I had secured a merit seat and had a fee of 60,000/- p.a, I didn't opted for a educational loan.

Campus Life

1.5

It's is seen that there are more girls than the boys and the college is pretty strict regarding the night time parties and the hostels are locked at 10 pm. There is no uniform required in the college as it is the case with other private medical colleges in the state.

Alumni/Alumna

This is a medical college and there is no integration or involvement of any seniors or alumni as all the passed out students have to prepare for post graduation which is a daunting task.

Admission

I always wanted to become a doctor due to which I opted for BI.P.C for my intermediate course after my 10th and morever i was always better at sciences than mathematics.I secured 1186 state rank in EAMCET(MEDICAL)-2012, after which I had attended the state counselling for the allotment of seats. Though I wanted a government college but my rank didn't made that possible, but I had a full choice of all the private medical colleges in then United A.P. There were many reasons which made me choose this one, this college is mere 100 kms away from Hyderabad and has one of the highest O.P.D patient turnover in the whole state. There are three categories under which the various private colleges offer admission which are based on the fee structure. I opted for the A-cat which had the fee of 60,000/- p.a.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is a mixture of retired government college faculty and many young and dynamic doctors who are both energetic and at par with current medical protocols and procedures. The faculty is extremely co-operative. The post graduate candidates also assist in teaching the undergraduates many procedures and academics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.
