Remarks
The college is very economical. The return on investment is great. Faculty support is also good. The infrastructure is limited which is compensated by the college being at a central location Aka heart of the city. The lalpur area is nearby where people come to try out the eateries and shop a little. Neuclus mall is just nearby which is the largest mall of Ranchi and a hotspot for hanging out of the young generation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course needs to be updated according to the industry standards. It also needs update the curriculum and the approach of teaching and learning. Given Covid19 situation, the means to disseminate education has to be reviewed and resolved as well. Studio rooms need to be put in place to provide the students with online classes rather than requiring them to come to campus for physical classes.
Placement Experience
The college provides decent placements for the students pursuing Human Resource Management course. The different companies visiting campus were Tata Steel, Darwin Box, Mahindra and Mahindra, Cisco, Flipkart (ppo for summer internship). There are integrated programs to make the students job ready. There are quizzes, subjects like business communication as a part of curriculum itself. Efficient and prompt placement cell comprising of staff with a mix of young and experienced training and placement incharges.
College Events
The annual cultural festival Panache. The footfall for the same is in hundreds with almost all the colleges in Ranchi participating. The colleges like Central University of Jharkhand, St Xavier's college, Ranchi, Gossnar college, Ranchi, National law college and Marwari college also participate in the same.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible. The college takes the fees through online means only. The fees is 8. 38 lakhs. The payment is nowadays done through an Enterprise Resource Portal. There are nominal additional charges for uniform, Rural retreat and Industrial visits - which include both the small Industrial visits and the pan Indian industrial visit.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has a tie up with Bank of India. The bank helps the students get a loan with approximately 9. 95% interest rate. The tie up helps the students get not just an easy loan but also helps them the required monetary help that is required. I had taken a loan of 7. 5 lakhs from Punjab National Bank with an interest rate of 9.95%.
Campus Life
The campus life is made interesting with the college being not just at the heart of the city but also at the heart of the hub of eateries. The sports infrastructure comprises of five open badminton courts, a basketball court. There are more than fifty percent of females in Human Resource management. The college is a minority college with some significant percentage of Schedule Tribe Christian minority students with good academic background and a rigorous selection process.
Hostel Facilities
The mess food is simple and hygienic. With only 3000 per month, you get non vegetarian food twice a week. The mess representatives are proactive and vocal in terms of getting the students good food and are selected via a democracatic election process. The hostel representatives are also very proactive and take into account all the problems of the students through regular meetings in the well maintained common room of the hostel. When it comes to food, the menu is customizable which the students can do talking to the mess coordinators and incharges.
Alumni/Alumna
The college alumni plays a very important role in getting the students placed in big firms like Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Flipkart, ITC, Mahindra and Mahindra, etc. They also helped the students get a brand name due to their large numbered presence in the field of Human Resource Management. They are very helpful and welcoming when it comes to not just placements but also gaining good summer internships.
Admission
The college has a legacy in the high qaulity Human Resource management education. It is also famous for labour laws, dedicated faculty members. A very strong alumni base in the field of HR due to oldness of the course. The alumni is not just cooperative but also proactive. They encourage clubs like Human Resource Forum of the Xavier institute of Social service through Sponsorships for events and also keep a constant tab on its activities.
Faculty
The faculty give their 100% with the resources at their dispense. They engage in regular upgrade of their skills, knowledge and mindsets. XLRI is a neighboring college. Different workshops keep the faculty members not just updated, but also persistent in terms of upping their ante in teaching and learning. Most of the faculty members are Ugc net qualified and PhDs.
