If you have got rank, no other college at same level will be as good.

The infrastructure of the college was a big issue which now has been resolved. The attendance policy is strict so one should attend 75% of the classes in order to net get detained during the exams. It is by far the only college in which Bikes are allowed as the campus is really big. Also the distance between hostels and classes are nearly 2-3kms.

Most of the institutes in India, does not focus much in research for undergraduates. So one should not have any false hopes. The environment of the college is good. If one is into research, he can form a group and then proceed for it. Placements are never an issue as you will definitely land one even if you are an average student here. In order to get into good companies, one should focus on coding right from the beginning.

Compared to other NITs the placements are pretty good here. The average of all the core branches are in the range of 6-7 LPA. For ece it is near to 8LPA and for CSE average jumps in the range of 10-11 LPA. Out of 180 students in CSE, more than one-third of the students got selected for intern at reputed companies like : Microsoft Amazon Goldman Sachs JP Morgan Chase Flipkart Deutsche Bank UHG Mainly there is a written round to shortlist the students and after that 2 Technical Interview rounds and 1 HR Round to test your communication skills.

There are more than 10 active societies in the college. Each of the societies organise their own event at different times so that one can participate in all the events. These events are generally some workshops, guest lectures, conferences etc. Apart from this, there is two major event in the college. "Technosearch" is the technical event of the college in which many competitions are held and students from various colleges joins. "Maffick" is the cultural event of the college. It goes for 3 days and mainly there are cultural activities along with Artist Night on all the three days.

As decided by the MHRD, the tuition fees per semester is 62500. Those general students whose family income is the range of 100000-500000 per year, need to pay one-third of the tuition fee and those below 100000 are exempted from the tuition fee. The hostel fee is near 40k for the year and Mess fee is 10k per semester. Students can easily avail the loan from any banks if they are not able to pay the fees.

I have not opted for any scholarship or education loan. But from the experiences I know that the process is not a tedious one. One can easily get the loan from banks for the payment.

There are many societies available in all the technical and cultural field. One should join the societies according to their choices and be a active member. The most common language spoken in the college is Hindi so some people who are from south might feel some issues. But after sometime they get along with it. The gender ratio is according to the reservation given by the Government in NITs i.e. 20% of the seats are reserved for girls.

The alumni pf the college are really helpful. One can connect to them using any social media like Facebook, Linkedin etc. Alumni and seniors help us a lot in guiding us through. They also refer the students for internships so one should be connected to them for smooth sailing of college life.

The admission in the college is from JEE Main. One should have a decent score in JEE Main for this college. I chose this college as its location is better and the placement stats are better than other colleges which I was getting. After clearing JEE Main, one need to register through JoSAA and give their choice filling. According to their preferences, they are allotted the colleges.

There are ample faculties available in all the departments of the college. But the issue being one can rarely find any faculty who is actually interested to help. Most of the faculties are just teaching for formalities and are not up to the standard. One need to search for good faculties that can actually be helpful in academic growth and providing projects.
