Generally they are very supportive and understanding and disciplined, so that no one face any problem.

My subject was very different from others. It's very much practical and field-oriented. The teachers played an important role in making good personnel. College learning is very much vivid and helpful for the ones who wants to pursue their career as researchers. Various field works were done for various science subjects. But our college did not provide any on campus placement.

Placement and internships is not provided by our college in Anthropology honors. This is not an engineering college, so don't expect any placement.

There are 2 big events celebrated in our college- saraswati puja and annual prize day. The Saraswati puja is held in the college where every student participates in various cultural programs like dancing, singing, etc. The college is decorated by collecting the money from the students. At last, the feast is done with all the college students. Whereas the annual prize day was held in Sarat Sadan where prizes are given to the students who performed well in academics along with the cultural programs and the lunch.

The fee structure is feasible i.e, middle-class students can afford it. There are admission charges and recurring fees for every month. The Science stream is expensive than the rest two. If anyone cannot give the admission fee one at a time then they can break it into installments. Apart from this, there is expenditure at the time of field excursion.

The college offers the scholarship only for the scheduled castes students who have scored 60% in the semester.

This is a women's college. This is a very normal middle-class college where no student parties or workshops are held. Our college is free from any kind of political pressure and harassment. The atmosphere of the college is generally healthy, normal and non-violent.

I generally didn't have any experience with the seniors. I didn't communicate with them as it was not needed. But during the annual prize, they generally participates and as far as I understood they were good. Overall the seniors, as well as the entire college, is good for the out bringing of the students.

I opted for anthropology honors which is very good in my college. Vivekananda College for women is a rank holder college at Calcutta University in my subject i.e, anthropology. The laboratory of this college is extremely good as well as the faculties. Regular classes are being held. My college is very disciplined and thus helps in the perfect out bringing of their students. Last but not least it is near to my house which made my journey comfortable.

The facilities were extremely good. I did not have to take any private tuitions during my graduation. I totally relied on their teaching. Practical and theoretical, both were done in a routine manner. Practicals were held for 3 days a week. The faculties focused the practice based learning. In short, this college is best for Anthropology honors in Kolkata.
