Structural Engineering

Overall I will rate the college with a rating of 8 out of 10. There are very good responses of college for it's students and students for the college.

Course curriculum is very good and standard following norms and all constraints of University Grants Commission (UGC), as the College is an autonomous institute of government of Maharashtra, exam is conducted by the institute itself along with checking. But this system is very transparent and good which is strictly followed in every situation.

The placement record of the college is very good for graduation. For post graduation, obviously the record is somewhat less than that of graduation. Top and A-class companies hire students of graduation on a good scale.

The college holds two events named 1. Zenith and 2. Prajwalan These two events further contain various technical, non technical and cultural events celebrated every year. These events are very big and students from across all over vidarbha region and government, govt. aided colleges of Maharashtra's students participate in those two events on a wide range.

As college is a Government College of Engineering belonging to Government of Maharashtra, the fee structure is very feasible as compared to other government aided and private institutions and universities. Post graduation program is offered in a fee of 83000-84000 rupees.

The college offers various scholarships referring to AICTE, but some students are not applicable for the scholarships because of it's constraints and so I am.

Campus life is very good. Campus contains an area of 109 acres with a large number of trees and plants planted on every sides of roads and departments. Labs are finely equipped with all required materials. There are all types of sports grounds and courts in campus.

Every student tries to opt for hostel at the very starting as it is very feasible, but currently, hostel is not offered for post graduation students. That is why, post graduation students have to make arrangements outside as PGs with average rent of 1500-2000.

Senior students are very much helpful in every view and co-ordinate their juniors in each and every manner possible. Alumni students are also kept in contact of current students by the teachers themselves and they also frequently come to guide and help students.

I got admission through GATE exam which is conducted in all India every year in the month of february. Admission process starts tentatively in may-june on mahacet portal. Institute totally admits students from mahacet portal on the basis of GATE for Post Graduation and on the basis of CET/JEE for Graduation.

Faculty of the college is very highly qualified with well experience of many years. In every department, there exists a further department according to specialisation in the subject. So in specialisation, there are tentatively 7-8 lecturers and 2-3 visiting lecturers and in whole department of branch, 2-3 such further departments are available. Overall, in every department, 25-30 lecturers are there. Some are very aged and some are at a medium level of age.
