College Review

NIT Raipur has been an one of a kind experience. Even though there is a lot of scope where the college could improve but still it has done well. For the years spent I have seen the change from what it was to what it is today and I am happy that I am part of this Institute. It will always be kind of my home I guess.

NIT Raipur offers a wide variety of course. And a good list of subjects for every course. But what it lacks on it is how they are taught. Some courses are guided in an organized and meaningful manner. Some subjects are just haphazardly finished. Also I feel few more subjects such as economics etc should be introduced to help the students develop in an overall level.

Placement was decent. Although there was a scope of improvement, the placement committee worked tirelessly to make it better. One of the biggest disadvantage for the college is it's location. Because being in a state away from the main it hub cities, it is unfairly judged. NIT Raipur has an impressive crowd, students are extremely talented and hard working.

As part of E-Cell I was mostly involved the management festivals taking place int he college. Along with this we had cultural, sports and tech fest as well. The college saw an participation from a wide range of students from in an around cg. Students also participated in inter not competition across the country.

It was fairly feasible. Although it increased in my time there but still in an affordable category. It is divided 8n an semester wise breakage. Post every sense yet we deposit an amount depending upon the total fee. The payment can be made directly through an online portal and receipt is collected directly front he college.

I took a loan from SBI. My father was an employee and hence was aware of the formalities and criteria required for the loan. Because of my 12 marks and rank in JEE Mains I was able to avail the loan easily.

Campus life was fun. There were a lot of committee activities and student conducted workshops and seminars taking place all the time. Although there were a lot of restrictions to the kind of events being performed but with time the college started opening up to new opportunities and new activities. I have seen the college grow from an extremely restricted environment to what it is today.

Alumni network can be better. I have seen that a lot of student have done extremely well after their college and lot of student still studying are aspiring to be them. If only we could bridge the gap better, create new opportunities for an alum to meet the new students and help them out in any way possible.

We have an entrance exam post the 12 th called JEE Mains I was allocated a rank based on my score. Post this I applied to multiple NITs and branch in respective college. I selected the college based on the branch. Admission process is pretty smooth and well guided.

Some faculties do their best to provide all the help required whereas some couldn't care less. The scope of research is also very limited. I feel a lot can be done in this area. Most of the time the students are left on their own to figure out their about a difficult research point.
