Remarks
The college is lively and the placement record is good. If you need some fun and extra curriculars along with your academics, then it's the best place to join. Although, RTU is not that great of a university and JECRC is affiliated to rtu.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is okay. The curriculum is affiliated to Rajasthan technical university. It didn't really provide much of practical knowledge but was enough in securing good placements. The exams happen on a university basis with repeated questions. Industrial visits are organized, but not for all branches.
Placement Experience
Placements of the college were indeed excellent. Almost 90% of the batch got placed. We were given paid classes for one month for preparing us for placements. The college doesn't provide any internships. Companies that visited the campus were Capgemeini, Accenture, Bjyu's, Daffodil, Tata Power, Chegg, MetaCube, ATCS, Traction etc. The steps followed in the recruitment drive are : 1. Online aptitude test 2. Some also keep coding rounds. 3. Technical interview 4.HR interview. If you get through the aptitude test, rest seems a cakewalk. Almost every year 80-90% batch gets placed. CS,IT,ECE batches easily gets placed as in comparison to Mechanical, civil and electrical branches.
College Events
The college events happen throughout the year. Blood donation camp, sports festival, zarurat kids festival, girl child event are some of them. Apart from this, the college fest, Rennaisance happens once a year such includes all types of cultural and technical events. It's a huge five day festival and students actively participate in them.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is very affordable. There are no management seats available. The fees for our term was 38,500 per semester. The modes of payment accepted are cash/dd/neft/rtgs. Yes transparency in the fees breakdown is provided. Some merit students are also provided TFWs, i. e. The tuition fees waiver scheme by which students have to pay a very nominal fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, there are no scholarship opportunities. Only tuition fees waiver scheme is there with some constraints.
Campus Life
Campus life is great. The campus is small but lively.also the crowd is amazing too. Gender ratio is 2:7. Regular workshops keep on happening. There are many cultural and social groups in colleges. Joining them is a great way to enhance your skills whilst making new friends. There is no discrimination that prevails in the college. The labs are okay okay, not great. There are many extracurricular activities and sports that happen in the college campus.
Alumni/Alumna
The people who had contacts with seniors are generally those who live in the hostel or those who are a part of any Cultural or social community. The alum network is not that interactive and deep and connected.
Admission
I always wanted to do b. Tech. But since my marks in jee exam weren't that good, i was getting admissions in only a few colleges, jecrc being one of them. I have heard about the college and it's lineant system. Also, this college didn't have uniform which was a plus point for me. The reap forms are out in june and the college allotment list is out till july. Then you have to go to the college allotted in person for the document verification. The college has no managements seats. And the admission criteria is entirely on merit.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is decent. Though some of them are really upto the mark. Lectures in each department varies from 10 to over 20 with average age being around 40. Most of them are b. Tech. graduates, some of them are also M. Tech graduates. Some of them teach highly commendable and are open to doubt clearing sessions. A few of them had certifications and industry expertise.
