Itﾒs all about acads in VCET. Though college is supportive of extra-curricular activities, most of student themselves lack enthusiasm. If that doesnﾒt bother you much, go ahead and join the college - youﾒre assured of getting a nice job at the end of your course.
Entrance Preview
I have written CET after my diploma course, I took this college because of The academic infrastructure is top class. Labs are of course well-equipped and also have equipment which are not usually found in any other colleges of the city.
Course Curriculum Overview
Attendance is a big issue in Vivekananda College of Engineering. You are expected to have at least 85%. A 10% relaxation is given for genuine medical reasons or for participating in extra-curricular activities.
Internships Opportunities
I have didn't got internship chances and not offering any stipends in internship time.
Placement Experience
It's the best part of this college. More than 30% placement for all branches is guaranteed. More IT companies than the core ones visit the campus, so CS, IS and ECE branches gets more salaries which is 4.5 ﾖ 5 lakh on an average. IBM, Wipro & Accenture are the major recruiters for these branches.
College Events
A lot of festivals happen here but ﾑ8th Mileﾒ is the biggest among all of them. Itﾒs an annual inter-college techno-cultural fest held in March.Although it's not on as large scale as some of the more popular festivals in the city arranged by college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structures are feasible For Karnataka CET students - Rs 36, 090 per year. For COMEDK students - Rs 1.25 Lakh per year.

Scholarships are available in this college for backward class students and children of beedi employee.
Campus Life
The VCET campus is huge and is also very beautiful. There is a no separate block for each department. The academic infrastructure is top class. Labs are of course well-equipped and also have equipped. Library is pretty big and has a lot of books. But it needs to enhance its collection as some of the books are not found in sufficient numbers. Also college needs to provide better facilities for sports.
Hostel Facilities
I will give 3 out of 5 ratings for hostel. Here there is only one hostel for all P.U, Degree and engineering students. Rooms are sharing for two or three peoples. Quality of food is ok.
Alumni/Alumna
This College gives much preference to alumni students. The college alumni meet every year for old students.
Exam Structure
Exams are held as per VTU rules. Three internal exams are conducted per semester. Out of three exams best of two exam marks are considered for internal marks.
Faculty
Some of the faculty at VCET are pretty amazing, but they are few. Half of the faculty members are freshers who donﾒt have much of an experience. Overall the faculty here are not the kind that one expects to be at one of the top colleges in city.
