A supportive and economic college

The management at college is good. We are always informed about the changes taking place certain times. Any important info is always shared and every task is competed before deadline.

The course curriculum and exam structure is designed according to the affiliated University. I honestly think thee were few subjects over the course of four years that were not of much importance, but the courses are evolving now. We have studied much advanced technology than our immediate seniors, however in the last two years of our graduation only. But my juniors are getting the new technology courses from the start. The course is becoming more focussed and helping us to choose better options to start our career with. Irrelevant topics have been removed over years and new, market driven technologies are being introduced. Thus, I can say, it is evolving with time and market need, and making us better professionals and also getting us ready for catering to market demands.

The placement of our batch has been pretty good compared to other batches since from this year university has made a portal where we could apply for jobs and these companies visited colleges of our university and organized pool drive. Some companies that visited this year at my college are : GlobalLogic, Jaro, Byjus, CedCoss, Ericcson Global. My college was the centre for Amazon recruitment exam too. On University level multiple companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, MindTree, NineLeaps etc have provided the placement from which students of all colleges were benefitted. The pattern for selection is an online test, Group Discussion, Technical Interviews, Managerial Interview and HR Interview. I have been able to score two offers, worth 4. 8lpa and 7lpa because of my college and university. The average package is 3. 5 lpa every year. The college took pains in providing us insights and preparing us for the interviews and selection processes.

We have a technical event called Yantragene whwere students from all the batches and branches come together to showcase their technical skills, through multiple competitions for every branch. Students from other colleges are invited too and top three winners of each competition, which totals about 30 competitions are awarded with cash prizes. The event goes on for three days and is managed by students with help from faculty. The cultural event is Anusandhan which is also celebrated for three days. The college feels like a festival in these days. All kind of events from literary, fine arts to stage plays, street plays and fashion shows are organized. This is the most exciting time of the year. LAst year, the famous poet, Mr. Munavvar RAna was also invited who left us mesmerized with his words. The budding creative minds are given full oppurtunity to showcase their talents here and the extraordinary ones are sent to the zonal levels too. The Sports event called Kalpvaig also feels like no less than festival in the college. Some are playing, some are managing and some are cheering. All kind of sports for both males and females are organized. The winner teams are sent to zonals and if they win there too, they are sent to state levels. The girls kho kho team from my college backed first prize at state level last year.

The program fee for my course is approximately 80, 000 with a hostel fee of 40, 000. The fee structure is literally very feasible as compared to other colleges for B. tech, even in the same university. For students, for whom it is hard to manage this fee, are provided with scholarships of almost same amount, and hence people from even low economic backgrounds are eble to enroll themselves in a professional course. College provides the transparency in the fee breakdown and honestly, the breakdown seems very true.

The university provides for scholoarship for people with household income of less than 6lpa. I could not avail this scholarship.

Gender Ratio in the college is about 4:1. The labs are provided with every thing that is required and are well operated. Regular workshops are organized at college that help students to gain insights on different technologies. There are no cultural societies at my college, however at the time of events and fests, students come together and work together to mke everything possible at it's best. There is no bias on the basis of relegion, caste or gender. Everyone lives together and everyone has an equal say in things. Competitions such as robo war, digicanva etc are part of our technical fest called Yantragene that focus on robotics, arduino, IOT and many other technologies.

Yes I have opted for hostel for all four years, I am in the final year. The hostel rooms are provided on a shared basis, with 4 girls sharing every room. However the rooms are actually spacious to accomodate 4 people. I have had a comfortable stay in the hostel. We were provided four meals for very low fee, 24hrs running water and electricity and emergency medical facilities too. We were not provided with AC or washing machines like the big collleges but we had no problem with it since we were chaged so low. Coming to seats in the hostel, since few people find it difficult to share rooms, they themselves opt for PGs, making enough room for the rest of us. However Hostel management never says no to any student opting for hostel. I was really happy to stay at that place for four years since the small city was not safe for PGs. None of our belongings have been stolen or disappeared in the course of four years, even if we did not lock our rooms, when the PG people were busy telling us about how their laotops or phones have been stolen at night. The food quality was not very good, but since a large amount of people had to be fed at such low prices, it would be wrong to complain about it too. The washrooms were shared but they were cleaned thouroughly every single day and the entire hostel was kept clean every single day. The timing for outings were fixed and for leaving the city we had to follow a protocol and get us a pass to do so. The security at my hostel was top notch and our parents never had to fear about the security of us or our belongings while we stayed there.

The seniors are extremely helpful and they even keep in touch after leaving college. My experience with my seniors has been pretty good but yes, it works both ways. They are humans too and they deserve respect. They have helped me with almost evrything from studies to prepring for placement to personal life problems. I owe them a lot.

This institution was a semi-govt one, as well as had the low fee structure. I had heard about this college from few of my seniors, about the faculty as well as the support provided here by faculty for the future. It is situated at a small district so I could have a good education without having to spend a lot on my living too.

The faculty in my college is well learned, with an average age of 40 and most of them are Post graduates, with some Having a Ph. D. They are good at their subjects and are succesful in delivering us what they have learnt over years. Also, for the latest technologies, which they are not very familiar with, they invest time and dedication to first get a grip and then teach us. Overall, it has been a very good experince with the faculty at my college. They even support and lend their full help in preparing for competitive examinations and higher studies.
