Remarks

Chill college atmosphere, stress less college curriculum, great place to learn and enjoy (perfect balance).Need to work on faculties of electronics, chemical branches which many shocks faculties are there. There should be better interface between the industries and the college as surat itself is a big industrial town.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Btech Btech,PhD and MSC are the courses offered. Mechanical, electrical and computer engineering are the best of branches here stimulus with the demand of the industries. Frequently industries trips were organised by colleges as surat is itself an industrial town.

Placement Experience

4

LnT, Reliance, Tata, Birlas,Adani are the major companies, Around 100+companies visit the campus. Written test is followed by GD(optional) and interview. Apart from these, there are few other criteria of CGPA and 10th and 12th class percentages.Few mock tests, interview and training sessions are organised by TnP department

College Events

4.5

Sparsh Cultural n technical event (earlier there was separate technical event (mindbend) and cultural event (sparsh). Also there are fresher event (kashish) and dasvadiyanaya(farewell).Around 20000 people participates and budget is around 2 crores.Colleges across Gujarat participates,Most budgeted event of the Gujarat state.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When I was studying till 2015 the tuition course fee was 38000( 20500 for odd semester and 17500 for even semester). Now after 2015, it is just double.1000 rs extra is taken as farewell charges.Fee breakdown is very much transparent. It is available clearly on the institute website.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not opted for any scholarships but there are few scholarships for SC/ST students, For obc, sc, st and pwd students by state governments.

Campus Life

4.5

For 800 boys there are around 100 girls, great campus enjoyable college life, gender ratio is low for Mechanical engineering branches (3/200) but much better for computer science and electronics branches (40/200), lot more festival, functions are celebrated across the colleges, students unions are there election take place for the selection of students bodies.Students come from all over the India and also south east Asia, middle east, srilanka,Afghanistan, Nepal etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes I opted for hostel as I was from outside the Gujarat, in first year u have to share rooms with one partner which is from other states. This hostel name is Gajjar Bhavan. From 2nd year and above u have choice of single room, Apart from boys hostel, there is 1 mega girls hostel and 1 PhD hostel

Alumni/Alumna

We have strong alumni network for this a dedicated alumni cell is there. It comprises of alumni faculties students etc. Regular functions are organised in college and in various cities as get together event.

Admission

I got the admission through AIEEE which is JEE mains now a days, Mechanical engineering was an evergreen branch and also I was interested in it, so I opt for that branch.I cleared AIEEE and finally got the admission. After the result, there is pan India basis counselling where you filled choices of branches and colleges and based on your rank you get the appropiate colleges. And by paying the required fees, you secured the admission.

Faculty

4

As I told 3 branches such as Mechanical, electrical and computer science engineering branches are best, they have a better pool of faculties, there average age range from 40-50 years. They are highly qualified specially the old fellows some also work for government projects. Frequently seminars and conferences on industrial interfaces are held.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.
