Scottish church college is one of the oldest institutions in the city of joy. It has the best faculty. The teachers are very friendly and so are the seniors. The environment is good. A candidate will be selected on the basis of their merit marks. The dates will be declared on the official website of the college. After you get selected you'll be appointed date for the verification of your documents. The merit marks will be calculated on the basis of the course you have opted for. The merit list will be posted on the official website. Opting for Scottish church college was a no brainer for me. One of the best colleges in Kolkata. Be it arts, commerce, BBA, or science faculty, there's no flaw at all. The environment is good. You'll be lucky if you get selected. Many seniors in my school have studied in this college and they have recommended this college.

Mathematics is a good course. As we all know it is a universal subject. You'll require this subject at every stage of your life. Our batch comprises of sixty students. There are five experienced professors. So it's 5:60 i.e, 1:12 ratio. The minimum qualification is MSc but most of the professors in our college have completed a Ph.D. degree. The professors are good. Although the first semester wasn't as good as we have expected because there was less time. Our college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The exams conducted by CU is good. The marking system has improved as per the CBCS system. Although, the first semester will be a tiresome one. You'll get less time since you have to cope up with a massive syllabus. Semester exams are held every 6 months.

Internships are offered by Internshala. You can gain your experience. The stipends can be less or even there will be no stipends but you can gain experience. There are various projects based on different fields like maths, science, data science, computer science, etc. You can apply for the internship. it'll be helpful for you.

There is a placement cell in our college. You have to work hard in order to get a good placement. Companies like ICICI, Indigo airlines, etc have visited our campus. The placements are more or less good. Students who have performed well get a good package. I'm planning to appear for competitive exams after completing my graduation. I'll surely work hard for getting good placement.

The fees for the first semester is approximately 18,000 rupees. The fees in the second semester are 5000 rupees. The examination fees are affordable and vary as per the department. I have not opted for any financial assistance. There are scholarships available for the students. You can avail scholarship if you met the criteria. Financial assistance is available for the students financially backward background. The fee structure is better than most of the colleges in the city.

Caledonia is the fest organized by Scottish church college mainly in the month of February. It is one of the well-known fest in Kolkata. The library comprises books based on different subjects. There's software so that you can keep the record of the book which you have borrowed. You can easily locate your book via the software. The librarians are helpful and it is a massive library. The classrooms are old fashioned yet great. It reminds me of those old days. The college was established in the year 1830. There is a new building which comprises of the BBA, computer science, and microbiology department. There are modernized labs and the classrooms are equipped with an air conditioner. sports include football, cricket, and table tennis. Extracurricular activities include quiz, drama, and debate. There are groups and clubs for the respective extracurricular activities.
