Overall good management. Even in this time when lock down has occurred we are safe on hostel and everything is well organised like mess facilities etc.

All curriculum are according to MHRD guidelines. We have mid semester and end semester exams. We also had various site visit and field works that helped like we visited mount abu and Saputara to conduct various civil engineering projects like contouring etc.

Good intern opportunity. For civil engineering we get intern easily under Surat municipal corporation with the help of our college. I've completed my intern in ROB construction which was under Surat municipal corporation. Last year almost 60+ were placed. Approximately 20+ in Larsen and toubro company.

We have various cultural and technical events. Sparsh is one of the biggest techno cultural event in Gujarat. Budget around 40 lakh. MMNCT is night cricket tournament that happens for five days. Other are branch fests like kaizen which are organised by civil engineering department.

Feasible. Also there is some exemption on basic of parent income. Full fee remission for those whose parent incom is less then 1 lakh and 2/3 remission for those whose parent income is less than 5 lakh. Every payment is done online or by cheque. Yes there is proper fee breakdown provided.

Yes there are various scholarships available. The college also provides remission based on annual income of parents. To avail this we have to submit three documents. One the income certificate duly signed by the authority they mention, Annexure provided by college and ITR document. According to eligibility criteria the remission would be of complete or 2/3. Criteria is if income is less than 1 lakh then complete remission and if less than 5 lakh then 2/3.

Gender ratio is not so good. In our batch of 74 students there are only 9 girls. There are various cultural society like CHRD, Hindi cell, alumni cell, chintan prathistan etc. There is huge cultural diversity in our college as 50% students are from other states with good bond between them. There is no disputes on base of gender or religion. Politically not so active though Every one have different political opinion. Student come from various family background like some one are from poor background where as some are from very rich background. Student Even come from different countries like Saudi etc.

Yes. There are separate hostels for each year students. For final year we have single bed room. For first yearites it's sharing with room partner. Two students in each room. We have night canteen and mess in each hostel. Laundry service and room cleaning services are also provided. All hostel and its premises are cleaned regularly.

Yes. They are very helpful. We have various alumni associations also one common SVNIT alumni association. We are well connected.

Admission is done through joint entrance exam( JEE MAINS). you have to clear this exam and according to the procedure of seat allocation body we're given the seat. There is 50% reservation under state quota and 50% for other state. I filled few of the top NITs and opted for float which means if seats are available on top NITs then it would automatically upgraded even after we are alloted any NIT as it happens in many rounds. I first got NIT Hamirpur electrical engineering and fortunately I got CE in NIT Surat which was on 2nd rank NIT at that time.

We have daily 4 lecture (sometimes 3) per day and one lab per day. Professor are around 50-60 ages and some are 60+ also. Associate professor are not that aged. We also have teaching assistants which are properly trained. Some lectures are even IES qualified. So overall faculties are great.
