Good College for education and placement

There is not more bad remarks to share about college except that the professors will treat students like school students. They will assign assignments every week. Fines will be imposed for the students who are late to college. You don't find much time to play in college. The ground is too small for the people who are interested in sports. The good thing about the college is education. You will have a quality one with good subject professors.

ANITS is affiliated to Andhra University Visakhapatnam. It was not an autonomous college during our batch. The course curriculum was set by Andhra University. It's a fair and research relevant course which teach us from basic concepts which helps to guide a student in a good professional career. Unlike some other universities exams are bit tough in Andhra University. You don't have gap between semester exams.

Many companies like Infosys, Cap Gemini, Deloitte, IBM, Amazon, Medha servo drives, Hyundai movies, Hero motors etc, will visit Anits every year for placements. Many companies are software companies. There will be internships as well in the curriculum. Almost 80% of the students were be placed during our time. Special classes will be taken for the students in last semester of third year who are going to attend placements.

There will be 4 main events conducted every year in the college like every other colleges. The first is the freshers day where freshers will introduce themselves to seniors in the mid of their first year. The second one will be annaul day celebrations where so many cultural events takes place and awards will be given to the winners in sports games and academic toppers. Technical fest and cultural fest is one of the main events in ANITS where students can gain some technical knowledge through work shops and projects in the fest. The last one is the farewell party which will be among third and final year students.

The fee structure in the college is almost like every other colleges. You have to pay fee in the starting months of the college at a time. Some grace period is given if you were not able to pay fee with in the time. However there will be scholarships for the merit students in the entrance exams. The fee is not so expensive. It was feasible. Students can also avail bank loans. No additional fees or charges to be paid. All the fee including libraby fee, sports fee, exam fee will be taken at the starting of the year included in the annul fee.

I have availed scholarship. As I got some good rank in my entrance exam ie, EMCET I got scholarship around ?40,000/- per annum. I used to pay another?40,000 per annum. The scholarship was given by the government if you are a merit student and you father's income should be less than 5 lakhs per annum.

There gender ratios will be 3:1(male:female) in core branches like mechanical and electrical branches. For the branches like computer science, IT, ECE it will be around 1:1. The labs are of excellent source of knowledge with great infrastructure. You will find space for some extracurricular activities too like sports. There is basketball court and badminton courts in college. A small cricket cum football ground as well. You will also find Indoor games like table tennis, carroms and chess, Gym. There will be no politics in college with respect to case gender. There will be no economic status because all the students will wear uniforms.

As the college was established around 18 years back we will some alumni network and senior students as well. Some of the alumni people will be invited during annul day and technical fest days to the college. Some alumni meetings will be conducted every year to discuss some topics regarding college. Alumni people also donates books and some infrastructure in labs and libraries.

ANITS is one of the best college in vizag in terms of education and placement. It has good teaching professors and lot of companies during placements. So I joined Anits in 2013 in EEE course in B.E. I got the admission was through EMCET rank. As I was interested in Electrical engineering I have opted for this course.

The best part of the college was our professors. All the professors in ANITS were post graduted from NIT's or IIT's. Some of the senior professors possess Ph.D's too. The average age of the professors will be around 35-40. Some of them will be under 30 as well. They all have good subject knowledge. Many of them have relevant industry knowledge as well as they have worked for few years in core industries.
