My college review

College management is very supportive to initiate new trends or technologies that enhance the quality of education.

The standards and infrastructure of the workshops such as Lathe and Foundry workshop, Fluid mechanics lab and automotive labs are at par with other best colleges in the state. The curriculum focusses on the theoretical studies more than the practical approach. No industrial visits were part of the curriculum

Many companies ranging from automotive, management and IT visited our campus. TCS has always been the biggest recruiter of the college. The general steps involve a written test, then an HR round, then technical round and then final round. Tentative percentage is around 75-80 %

Participation and fervor is immense in the festivals conducted by individual departments, People from different parts of the country visit and participate across various events such as in Robotic competitions, dance, MUN and workshops. Usual participation of the students is more than 600.

The program fee was around 85000 per semester. The modes of payment include cash and cheque. No additional fees incur in the curriculum, apart from the exam fee. Total transparency is provided to the student regarding the fee breakdown. I would consider the fee to be expensive in comparison to other colleges.

I didn't get any scholarship as i came from other state. Usually the college provides 55000 scholarship for merit students who had ranks below 10000. The amount of scholarship for the qualified students was same

Gender ratio in my department was around 7:3, with boys 7 and girls 3. Stringent rules and regulations were followed for safety of women in the college premises and in hostels. Yearly workshops were conducted for all the departments of the college. Most of them were concerned with robotic workshops, such as quadrotor workshops, or aerodynamic planes, or underwater robotics. Student dorm parties were almost nil. Sports were also an integral part of the curriculum where almost every third student participated in different sports such as Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football or chess. Diversity was well maintained across all the platforms and events in the college.

I didn't opt for a hostel accomodation. The hostel rooms are usually clean and well maintained. Usually the avaerage rental was around 5000. The hostel rooms were shared with 4 people. The hostel facilities included, lift and A.C

My Alumni has spread across all parts of the world that gave me an opoortunity to interact with them and get to know about the prospects in their country. This particularly helped me choose my Masters in Europe.

I wanted to pursue mechanical engineering in a well-reputed college. I opted for the course as the faculty was highly qualified and experienced. I got the admission through the merit list, My scores were very good in EAMCET and AIEEE. The admission process is as usual through counseling.

Top notch faculty in the state! The hierarchy is subdivided into Head of the Department, Professor, Assistant professors. The average age of professors would be around 47 and assistant professors around 35. The highest number of Doctorates one could find in a college in Andhra Pradesh.
