Remarks
Management was good in terms of faculty deployment and all but really lacks vision in development of overall personality of a student. They seem to harsh on having sporting activities/competition, they just focus on getting every student to attend class and get good passing % & toppers in university exams. No focus on cricket/GD/ mock interviews/forming self study groups/ any sports
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes it was good, curriculum was designed and exams were conducted by RGPV which is a good University. Exam structure has a mix of theoretical & practical knowledge testing. Practical experience on machines helped in getting more knowledge on subject and understanding technicalities in a better way. Industrial visits to solar power plants were arranged too where we got to know how a plant functions.
Placement Experience
That's the worst part of college, not a single company other than for CS, IT came. Most of the companies which came were hiring for sales profile or for BPO jobs. TCS was the only big company which came and hired around 50-60 students combined together from all trades.
College Events
Sumobot, Robotics, Athenna were organised but it was too biased towards giving prizes to own college and the same used to happen in other colleges too. It's not that big, you can expect 5-10 entries in each competition. Sagar festival used to be a grand one but more often they were organised during semester breaks and so most of the students who came from other states were unable to attend it and gradually it became obsolete.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure was feasible, around 58,000 for one year was tuition fees and 40,000 was hostel charge for a year. There isn't much transparency, paymenys were mostly taken in cash/cheques. Students who can't get eligible ranks used to pay donations in order to secure seats or took admission through management quota. Every teacher used to have targets for admission, so that seats get filled anyhow.
Fees and Financial Aid
I couldn't get any scholarships as it was meant for economically backward castes. There wasn't any scholarships run by college, it was all by state govt. to waive off fees if you belong to OBC/SC/ST and have lower income than a mentioned amount.
Campus Life
Campus life wasn't that great in terms of college benefits, we as a group enjoyed lot making fun with each other. No entry after 8/10 pm for girls and boys were there, Gender ratio were quite low, can say 10-15 boys to a girl kind of. Race and religion ratio was good as students from different states following different religions were there.
Hostel Facilities
Yes i took twin shared rooms. It used to charge 40000 for fooding and lodging, rooms are good and well maintained. Food provided was good as well. I didn't availed PG rather made a group and took house on rent, for 4 person room rent was close to 6,000?/month and fooding expenses came to 1400?/month/person while appointing a cook and get her to make meals 2 times a day.
Alumni/Alumna
There isn't such network, it's only limited to taking alumni fees but that is mostly controlled by the department as they call them if any meet/event os being planned.
Admission
I gave MPET exam and got admission in this college through college, honestly i was aiming to get admission in oriental institute but seats got full there and next best college was this (as per my research). Once confirmation in counseling was done, had to go to college to submit documents and a sum of 10,000 After few days (14 days) had to go & submit tuition fees for first semester and start rolling with classes going on
Faculty
It was a mix of good and average one's, subjects which were tough needed to get extra tuition classes as lot of time invested in one topic. But the practical/laboratories faculty were good. HOD were really a charm and knowledgeable one's but seldom they used to take class, M.tech qualified teachers were there for few subjects and for few B.tech qualified one's were there too.
