Remarks
Cons:- The faculty should improve. The condition of labs in the college was not very good. Focus should also be laid on practical knowledge. There should be more field visits. Pros:- Very healthy friendly college atmosphere. Excellent co-curricullar facilities. Two annual events. College is not located in a very hostile location, everything is very much approachable. After graduation preparation scope is high.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes the course, curriculum and the Exam structure is good. Though engineers mostly prefer last night study but the fact all these things make them an all rounder. The college offered excellent co-curricullar facilities that helped me open up and represent myself at bigger stages. I was also the head of a community that only boosted my confidence and helped me crack interviews too.
Placement Experience
Talking of placements, I won't say there is much scope for core branches like Electrical, Mechanical. Saying that, some big companies like Adani Wilmar also visited our campus but the number is just very few. If your as CS/IT guy scope is very high. Mostly the companies that come are sales oriented and they take a good bunch of engineering graduates, which is an irony.
College Events
Already mentioned the college offered many co curricular activities for children. There are almost 15-16 forums running in the college that are concerned with different art and social forms themselves. The best of them was Abhinay - The Dramatics Community, people there were honest and devoted. We during college days went to many Inter college fest like IIT, IIM, NIT and many more and also won from there. College also has a 3-day Annual fest named UTKARSH in the month of February - March at a grand level. Also in the month of September, we celebrate Ganesh mahotsav very auspiciously in a Seven day event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My answer would be feasible. Seeing the situation of other colleges of India, the fee structure of BBDNITM was feasible, also the AKTU (governing body) offered 10% seats reserved for fee waiver candidates in each branch. So that was an additional advantage and motivation for children to prepare well for UPSEEE and get a fee waiver seat.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I didn't opted for any scholarship, neither I opted for any education loan. I got good rank in state entrance examination UPSEEE because of which I was able to avail the fee waiver seat that simply allowed me to not pay the tution fees which was like a big chunk of the total fees. To be precise, I paid around Rs. 50, 000 only for the 4 years of my graduation as college fees.
Campus Life
The campus had a good gender ration. The campus has good healthy atmosphere with children enjoying in the college campus and college canteens. Extra curricular was very much promoted in the college and also children were sent to other college fests where many of them came back victorious too. Robotics, Debates, Extempore, Dramatics, Coding each had different forums and children working as representatives who led the group for the betterment of the college.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I had opted for a hostel during first two years of my college days. The hostel in starting in no less than a jail, which I think is fine for kids to get aware about the restrictions of the college campus. There is enough distance between the girls and boys hostel. No entry after 6pm was allowed in the hostel during 1st year. The first year hostel and senior hostel are different to avoid any ragging concerns.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumini network of BBDNITM is extremely strong but only for those who want to be in contact with the seniors. Some people wanted to stay away in isolation, some preferred their own group but if you seek help from seniors they were very willing to help out. Even the pass outs came and help and motivate the children of their respective forums whenever their was any competition in the college. Overall it was good.
Admission
I gave UPSEEE which is the state entrance exam conducted for engineering aspirants back in 2015. Securing a rank under 12000 in state, I opted for a fee waiver seat in the counselling round and I got this college. The admission process after that was simple to go the college fill the admission form, submit required documents, and chose the hostel if required and done. At the Counselling time 15000 was submitted which was later adjusted in the fees.
Faculty
My honest answer would be AVERAGE. Most faculties boasted of their knowledge but only a few were actually holding the correct set of knowledge. In engineering mostly children prefer books, guide to prepare for exams rather than class notes. The faculty also knew this and they were just conpleting the course whichever way they wanted to.
