College management is decent. Transparency is there for any process. You need to maintain good attendance around 70% to be promoted.
Course Curriculum Overview
Engineering is all about pressure handling and since my college was affliated to vtu University we felt lot of competition in scoring good marks. difficulty level of question paper is also quite good. Unpredictable questions are common in external exams.
Placement Experience
Placement is average. Considering from north indian colleges it's better. Best options are companies like Deloitte ey tcs and other startups. Tentative percentage of placements will be around 65-70. Little mentoring I'd provided for placements.
College Events
College has its own fest known as cultura every year it ranges for 2 days with events like band performing and some celebrity visiting the campus. Various colleges from Bangalore participate. Some technical events and hackathon are also organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At my time in 2013-2017 it was 162500 per year for a duration of 4 years. Now it's around 200000 per year if you are from outside karnataka. admission is completely transparent and so is the fee structure. Also there used to be some management quota seats admission under those were costlier.
Fees and Financial Aid
Some scholarship was provided to student having domicile or if they had someone in army. The fees in that case reduces to a significant amount. For instance where outside state students paid 162500 they used to pay 25k- 50k.
Campus Life
Campus is well above standards if you compare from Bangalore colleges. One of the best parkings, best basketball court along with high quality auditorium is something worth mentioning. library and canteen is also decent. Gender ratio is quite good especially in branches such as cs is ec etc. No discrimination is done on basis of ethnicity or gender.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed outside college campus. college hostel had two options NRI hostel during my time used to charge around 100000 per anum all inclusive food(single bedroom provided) common washroom. Other hostel in the campus used to charge around 75000 all inclusive food(multiple bunker bed ). Outside expenses for pg would range from 5500 on sharing basis to 12000 per month.
Alumni/Alumna
Every year alumni meet happens before college fest where you can hear about practical challenges being faced by seniors.
Admission
Since I was from other state and not karnataka I had to write comedk examination. Information science & computer science were most in demand subject. Examination standard is not that high. if you get a good rank 9000-11000 during my time you would get chance to sit in counselling and get admission.
Faculty
Minimum qualification is of mtech. I would rate faculty 3/5. Overall they are supportive and reachable under various scenarios. However not all facultys hold relevant industry experience. average age would be 40 years and above. Expertise would be PhD.
