Review on KLE BCA College

College management was okay. They helped in solving answers, and before exams they explained the topics again very well.

It's okay, didn't really help much in my professional life as I opted for a Digital Marketing role which was totally different from what I learnt. But I did observe that few toppers had good jobs which were relevant to what they had studied, and they were happy that they studied from here.

Around 70% of students were placed, and there were few big companies like IBM, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra.

Technical, cultural, sports activities. All of these were good enough. Technical and cultural events were only across the BCA course (Seniors and juniors included). Sports events were inter course, where teams from other departments also allowed to participate.

Feasible. Hostel fees doesn't include food fees though, as it's not a mess, but order and eat whatever you want from the canteen. Cash, cheque, card payments are accepted. They also allow you to pay the fees on an installment basis, which was very helpful for us.

Didn't opt for any. I just paid for the college fees directly, and had asked for installments which they had agreed.

40/60 (Female/Male) gender ratio. Not much sports activities and competitions. Sports events mostly prioritised cricket, and few indoor games like a Table tennis, carroms, chess, etc. There was asking sort of regional discrimination in my course, as my course had mostly local students.

Hostel was great and clean. We had 3 sharing and 2 sharing rooms. Well maintained hostel, with KLE Dental College in the vicinity. Hostel was around 8-10 kms away from the college, but we had hostel bus to take us to the college. Hostel had students from different departments.

Seniors were helpful, they helped in sharing their knowledge and few problems when we had them. Friendly seniors as well.

Went to the college, and had a small interview of sorts. Admission was not because of merit or sorts, they just had a simple interview, and the discussed about the fees and other stuff. Easy to get into this college, if you want to without any issues.

There were around 5 lecturers per semester, with an average age of 38. They were very good at what they were teaching. Although, labs are not well equipped, and few substitute teachers were not very good at teaching. Few of substitute teachers were lab attenders, who didn't know much about the subject but were still teaching them.
