I am appreciative to have this college. But sometimes I feel that Ashutosh College is better than this. Actually I got Ashutos College but for some problems on money I couldn't go there.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is under CBCS system. I think 6 months system is much more better than 1year system. It efforts me to do my work instantly. I can know many things according my subject very well. Exams after every alternate 6months provide a great opportunity to know the subject well.
Placement Experience
Which companies visit the campus of my college is unknown to me. But we have heard that we may get a career counseling after completion of our 3rd year(6th semester).
College Events
Many festivals are hold in my college such as freshers welcome, Saraswati Puja, celebration of a day before Durga Puja, Rabindra Jayanti and like. Except this my college also holds some departmental events like publishing magazines, hanging wallpapers etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of my course was 2470/- in 1st semester which increased in 2nd semester and became 3000/-. The exam fees are seperate from this. Exam fee was 360/-. There was a difference in payment methods also in those semesters. I have to pay online in 1st semester but in 2nd semester it was offline.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I didn't get any offer for scholarship opportunities from my college. I applied for a government scholarship ( Nabanya Scholarship) but I didn't get the amount.
Campus Life
I can't calculate the gender ratio as there is so many male students as well as famale. It is almost same. The ratio almost 1:1 hardly 2:1. Students get involved with Trinamool party if they want. Otherwise no one forces him. Frankly speaking there is no harrasments are noticed by me with regards to gender, ethnic, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. We read Hindu-Muslim-Sikh all together. There are many workshops organized by my college and seniors. I participated in theatre workshop before lockdown.
Alumni/Alumna
I haven't any information about the alumni network till date. But the union have many senior students and they have many interesting informations and supports all day by paying fees and in every smallest problem they are there.
Admission
As my college allows students by marit list so the admission was done with big lines and it was minimum 3 hours of journey. The date was 20.06.2019. I choose sociology as my honours subject. Then I found some colleges which give this subject for honours. I choose this institution for better faculties in my subject combination.
Faculty
The facilities of my college is very good. I attended minimum 2/3 national webinars and other lectures also in my one year of course. The speakers were really good. The soeakers make me know more details on my subject every time. I got certificates from webinars.
