Remarks

MITS is a well-known college in the entire Chittoor and neighboring districts. Good Aspects: It is one of the top colleges with the majority of teaching staff holding phd degrees from various prestigious institutes like IIIT's and NIT's. Well, the known Research center is there with fundings from state government and private institutes. Maintaining good relations with top universities across the globe which in turn enables the students to study abroad if they wish. Bad Aspects: There is no dedicated hostel within the campus. The gym facility didn't meet our expectations. Admission Process: The admission is in two ways either by (Eamcet) convenor or Management quota. The entrance exams are conducted by Jntu's of the state in the month of April mostly. The sole reason for preferring this college is the fact that it is having the most placement records in the Chittoor district. I get to know about this college through my relatives and neighbour.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I had my personal interest in ECE as I am fond of circuits related topics and my relatives guided me to take this course. Faculty Ratio: The student-faculty ratio is nearly about 1:15 and also we have a dedicated faculty for mentoring a group of thirty students. Staff Qualification: Most of the teachers are PhD holders. So the teaching and interaction with students are totally in English. Each classroom is equipped with a projector and the teaching is mainly through slides except for those subjects like mathematics etc. Exams: There were two semesters per year with two mid exams each semester. It is necessary to maintain minimum marks in each subject either in mid or sem. As the college is autonomous, the exam paper difficulty is a little moderate. One can easily pass.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The fourth-year Internship is mandatory for each and every student or a project must be done by the student. There are only a few companies that offer internships in the college itself whereas most of the students choose to get an internship by themselves in various companies. It is our wish if we want to take an internship or project. I am currently in the third year so I didn't get an internship opportunity but from the experience of my seniors, it will be the most important aspect for getting the placement. Companies like ggk tech offer internships in the campus itself with a stipend of nearly eight thousand.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement record is one of the main reasons for the students who are choosing this college. Nearly sixty percent of the students are placed every year. From the third year second semester onwards, the students are eligible to take part in the placement exams and drives. Nearly seven hundred plus job offers are made every year for both BTech and MBA branches. Companies like Wipro, hcl, Tcs, Ggk tech, and cognizant are the top recruiters of our college. Students from CSE, Ece and Visit departments are mostly placed, moderate opportunities for the civil and mechanical departments. My plan is to get a placement within the college and see myself in a good company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is nearly the same for all the branches. It is about 97,000 per year and with an additional NBA fee for selected branches. The cost of the study is high when compared to the other colleges but facilities are worth it except for the hostels. There is a dedicated cell for scholarships that will inform each scholarship available across the state and nation level. The scholarship opportunities are high during the first year. And also the state government is providing a fee reimbursement of 35,000 per year. But from 2019 the government is paying all the tuition fee so there is not much burden on students. Unfortunately, I didn't get any scholarship except for the government but a few of my classmates got scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Every year many fests are conducted by our college. Departmental fests last for two to three days in the fields of presentations, projects, etc. The main event of college is ASHV which is a two days cultural and technical fest and is celebrated in a grand manner. Every year the college management invites a well-known celebrity to our college during this fest. And flashmobs are conducted which is an eye feast for everyone. The library is one of the main attractions of our college as it is maintained well. Lots of journals and publications are readily available. We can also utilize computers with free internet access provided by the college management. Sports competitions are always there throughout the year with separate fields and equipment. The entire campus is filled with Greenary which inturn always provides a good feel.

Hostel Facilities

3

There is only one boy and two girls hostels which are owned by the college. But there are numerous private PGs available near the college for both boys and girls. The food is not always good. one needs to be adjusted about the food either in private or college hostel. The rooms are shareable with four or five students and wifi facility is available for every room. The hostel fee is to be paid in only one or two installments. Almost every hostel is located near the premises of the college. There are good transport facilities available for the place in which the college is located.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
