Course Curriculum Overview
Semester based curriculum and exam structure as per the Bangalore University stipulations. The course work is current and latest and the learning is imparted through lectures and lab work. Practise is essential to make you understand concepts and that's how the teaching is imparted. We had to dirty our hands to ensure we understood what was taught and that has made us better engineers today.
Placement Experience
Most large companies and organization's have campus placements in the college. The placement office is dynamic and sures that the best are there to pick up the best. While the placements are definitely better for the computer, it and electronic departments, the other streams do get opportunities and the cream is picked up on campus.
College Events
The annual event of the college was the most awaited. Apart from this participation in other college events was encouraged. Sports and participation in inter college tournaments in cricket and badminton was a major event. Apart from this inter department competitions are regularly held.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. I was a student of Civil Engineering and hence the fees were affordable and hardly any extra was needed to be paid. At my time we as merit students had to pay less and were exempted from the donation fees and such like. We only. paid tuition, books, project fees and transportation if availed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Nope. I did not as I was a Merit student and got my seat through the CET. I only aid tuition and transportation.
Campus Life
The gender ratio depends on the stream selected. Normally the Computer and Electronic engineering departments have pretty much the same number of boys to. girls but departments like civil and mechanical are more male dominated. Students from across the country and from all economic strata of society are admitted and that really is of no matter. On campus all work together and have a grat time.
Hostel Facilities
No I did not use the hostel as I was a day scholar that travelled by the college bus. So I am. not aware of the hostel and its facilities and cannot comment on the same. Friends who stayed in the hostels had no complaints.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association is quite active but the individual departments. It have their own old students associations that are more active. Infact the professors that taught us are still contactable through these resources.
Admission
Through the CET that is held in Karnataka for admission into the engineering colleges. RV was on of the best colleges for civil and hence I got into this college. Post that there is an interview with the student along with a councelling session before the admission is completed.
Faculty
Modern and upto date and extremely helpful. They guided the students capably and also helped them achieve their goals. They are also prompt in ensuring all the lab work and course work is completed in the semester and ensure that all the project work is also done on time.
