Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is very well organized. It included all the important subjects which provided sound knowledge. Also, the industry experts come to teach and share their knowledge on a regular basis which provided a great edge to the curriculum. The projects helped a lot in the on-campus placements because everyone has something practical to show to the recruiters.

Placement Experience

3.5

The main companies for internships were Huawei Telecommunications, WIPRO, Reliance, Brilio, Mahindra&Mahindra, DHFL, Akzonobel, etc. The final placement companies include Nivea, Capgemini, Bridgei2i, EcoLabs, etc. The recruitment process varies from company to company. But most companies first shortlist CVs followed by group discussion, PI, HR round. Some companies do take online aptitude test as the first step and then process further rounds according to their company's criteria.

College Events

3

The biggest festival which happens in SCMHRD is Neev. Oh My God!! even people from different colleges are a big fan of this event. Some big celebrities showcase their performances in this event. Apart from this, a huge celebration happens during Ganpati Puja in September, Durga Pooja in October. Approximately all festivals are celebrated with so much enthusiasm.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is quite high which is around 13Lakhs for 2 years. The fee covers all the expenses mainly Hostel Charges, Mess/ Food Charges, Tuition Fee, etc. The hostel accommodation is compulsory. Other than that there are no hidden charges involved. Fee can be paid through the online portal through RTGS/NEFT or other modes. A challan can also be made in the bank going there and the fee can be paid through that medium also.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, the college doesn't provide any kind of scholarship opportunities. But yes, if you score the highest marks out of all the students they will offer you some good amount to money which will surely help a student to reduce the burden.

Campus Life

3.5

When it comes to gender it's usually the girls were on lower numbers but in SCMHRD there were around 25% girls which is a great percentage compared to other colleges. This is more because of the safety is taken care of by the college for girls. The college is quite strict in terms of the ragging policies. The management strictly punishes students who are involved in such activities. There were students from all religions from all different parts of India. There were Nepali and Afghani students also who study with the same batch students.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is compulsory. The hostel room is twin sharing or three sharing. The rooms are well cleaned, hygienic and follow the basic living standards. The wardens are quite strict in terms of hostel attendance, cleanliness and other stuff. The personal electronic items like Iron, Kettle, etc. are not allowed.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors were very helpful from day 1. The ice-breaking sessions were quite good which helped both the senior and junior batch to gel up easily amongst each other. Also, the seniors mentored our batch during the time of internships and final placements as well. The alumni were also there to prepare us for the challenging situations and the rigorous placement process. They very well organized mock interview sessions for us to help us prepare for the finals. So, it was quite a very well versed alumni network and strong too.

Admission

I took SNAP Exam in 2017 November. After that, In January I got the offer from the college for selection in this process and they called me to Pune for further rounds. At 3rd Feb 2018, It was my day for the interview. So, there were four rounds of interview. The 1st round was the Group Discussion for about 15 mins in front of a panel. The second round was the story writing, in which a picture is shown and we have to make a story out of it in 20 mins. The 3rd round was the technical test round which checks a student's knowledge on the basis of statistics, mathematics, coding, etc. The final round was the personal interview which took around 1 hour to complete. I got the final selection mail in march and I decided to join it. The main reasons which made me choose this course and institute are the Brand Name, the Overall Course Structure, location and the overall placements which are quite impressive.

Faculty

4

There are approximately 10 teachers in Business Analytics. The teachers are from all age group from young to old. Some teachers have great experience of more than 10 years. Most teachers are postgraduate and some are PHD qualified. Some of them are from industries where they were at a reputed position. I am from a B.TECH background, so understanding finance of me was a big challenge in MBA. But the finance faculty was so knowledgeable and the style of teaching was so much amazing that I learnt finance concepts so easily and at a quick pace. Adding to it, the different live projects, case studies added a lot more value in the overall learning curve.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
